  1. To make sure everything is just like a home game, the Jays will also use the home locker room, sleep in the Phillies' homes with the Phillies' wives and drive their cars for the weekend.
  2. Not necessarily. The rotation is only missing an ace like pitcher in the rotation. The only thing that is missing from the Brewers rotation now from when Maddux was here is that there is no ace (Ben Sheets) on the team. This team really does miss Sheets even though he was injured a lot later in his Brewers career Sheets by far is one of the greatest and best pitchers the Brewers have ever had. Sheets could give you 9 innings in almost every game he started in this rotation you have no one who you can reliably count on to go 7 innings. Wolf, Gallardo, and Bush are all equal to what the Brewers had before if not better. The only thing the Brewers are missing is a Sheets like pitcher. That's a pretty massive piece to be missing.
  3. I think it has more to do with the names on the jerseys than the coaching staff. Our pitchers are worse now. A lot worse.
  4. When Mat Gamel is at least a very good player for someone else, I will hate Ken Macha even more than I do now.
  5. Hope he does great. Always liked Yost. Not the best, but I'd take him back over Macha.
  6. I have no clue if I'm anywhere close on the $3 million. I was just throwing it out there due to service time, and the fact that he was at one time pretty good. No idea how that stuff works.
  7. Thanks to some help, I found a database of Bucks bobbles and now I want to start collecting. I need them all except this year's: 2001 Ray Allen 2002 Ray Allen 2003 Bango 2004 Tim Thomas 2004 Bango 2005 Desmond Mason 2005 Bango 2006 Bango 2006 Jon McGlocklin 2007 Andrew Bogut 2007 Michael Redd 2007 Mo Williams 2008 Michael Redd 2008 Andrew Bogut 2008 Bob Lanier 2008 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 2008 Sidney Moncrief 2009 Richard Jefferson 2009 Michael Redd 2009 Bob Dandridge I'm basically looking to buy them. I don't have much to trade -2008 Corey Hart2009 Doug MelvinRickie Weeks Beloit Snappers (the old one from 2003 or whatever, not the newer one)Aaron Rodgers white uniform McFarlane - still in package Anyone want to work something out or willing to sell, just let me know. Thanks.
  8. Davis was fine tonight. He threw 113 pitches. Someone should have been warming up at about 80. I'm not going to get on Doug Davis tonight. Rickie Weeks didn't help him out much.
  9. Question: Gameday charged Manny Parra with a run. Is that right? Technically the inning should be over, or does he still get charged with that run?
  10. Oh well. Gotta mix some losses in there somewhere. Hopefully we get the next two and then do the same to Philly.
  11. Wow. Glad you and your things are OK.
  12. Don't have one, but: http://cgi.ebay.com/BOB-U...m1c126913e7#ht_500wt_975 They don't show up there too often, either.
  13. I like Parra best in the role he is in now. Narveson is looking pretty good as a back end starter. Someone will likely need to be injured for Capuano to play, but like I said, someone is bound to get injured.
  14. I'm sorry but I don't really like that this was moved here. The other forum is frequented by a lot more people, and I don't really get it. There have been 19 of these in the history of this game, it is a pretty big deal. If I were visiting the site I would expect to see it in the major league forum and wouldn't bother checking here. I don't understand the rationale, but whatever. Just my opinion.
  15. "As Braden celebrated the feat, Sunday night's Yankee starter, A.J. Burnett, was alone in the Fenway clubhouse and watched Braden. As Braden hugged an older looking woman, Burnett said out loud, to no one in particular, "Grandma, don't cross my mound."
  16. Big fan of Capuano as I'm sure many others are. What are the chances of him contributing to this year's team? Obviously very fragile at this point, but he's is only 31 and has looked great in Brevard County thus far. In three starts, he has 17 Ks and 0 BB. Rumor is he will be in Nashville very soon. Someone is bound to get injured this year, could Capuano be the guy up if that happens? Or if Narveson really struggles? What do you think?
  17. To keep the positivity train going, Chris Capuano threw another good game for Brevard County tonight.
  18. "Prohibiting any starting pitcher to play in the game who had pitched for their team the previous Sunday." Then don't put him on the team. Name him an All-Star and let it be on his career record for HOF/legacy purposes, but don't waste a spot on a guy who can't play. That's stupid. I personally like playing for HFA in the WS. I just think it's cool and makes it interesting. Besides, the home team has lost more Game 7s than the visitor, historically.
