Last year I got to the block party with Braun at 5:30 and I was second in line. I had enough time to jump in Salomon Torres' line after and get him too. -
Stuff like this is just silly. TGJ is no world-beater, but he has proven that he can play major league ball. He's a formidable leadoff hitter on a mediocre team and a nice option off the bench. He absolutely has business getting ABs in the majors and I wish him the best. He was never going to get a shot in Milwaukee, and I don't feel like the Brewers ever really gave him an honest chance. He's not spectacular, but to say a guy that will likely end the season with 400 ABs and hit close to .300 has "no business" in the majors is just silly. It's not like he's Bill Hall at the plate. As overdone as the Gerut hate is, the hate for TGJ when he was in Milwaukee was just as bad.

Eh, I'd rather see Hoffman not make the team. He's been shaky. Just let him go home and relax. I'm OK with Yo not making it for the same reason, but he deserves to be there and I hope he's on the final ballot.

I will need both Jason Kendall bobbleheads, and I am willing to get any item signed by any one player in attendance at this weekend's block party in Brown Deer. I can get there as early as I need to, so there shouldn't be a problem. I'm not real crazy about the lineup as I've already gotten most of the guys attending. I think that's a fair deal - not only do you get an auto, but I'm basically giving a day to you - I went for Braun last year and was there from 5:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. Let me know if you're interested. If for any reason your requested player doesn't show up, we can rework or cancel the deal.

Tonight's game kinda had the feel of a potential classic. Not saying I called it or anything, but they had 8 runs, were trailing, and balls were flying out of that place. I kinda felt like they'd at least get a chance to tack a few more on and make it a game, especially against that bullpen.

It was closed. I find that funny, because when I went to Hoffman bobblehead day, I was FREEZING in the upper deck and the roof was open. If you weren't in the sun that day, you were freezing if you wore shorts and a t-shirt.

I went to Whitefish Bay's last year because I live there. Walked down the street at about 5:30 and was 2nd in line for Braun. I thought it was pretty well organized given the massive crowd. -
To be honest I'm just happy every time I get a new (free) bobble at a game. They could do Jorge Julio for all I care.
