  1. The Packers probably looked at Clark as the equivalent of an NBA salary dump. You make this trade 10/10 times if you think you're close to a title. This is exactly the talent they don't have this team.
  2. I'm absolutely stunned
  3. I always thought Art LaFleur could star in a biopic as Pat Murphy, but then I remember he died.
  4. Isn't he essentially employed by the Brewers? He has always kinda been like that, nice guy though. Local media has always been pretty kind to the Brewers. Haudricourt, another nice guy, was an absolute shill for Yost.
  5. The last week has been that way even the ones we won. Things just look sloppy. They look tired.
  6. Professional athlete, literally the best in the world at what they do...worst guy on the bench is paid a king's ransom. Under scrutiny probably since they have been about 8 years old...but dropping a few games and being 6.5 up in the division has them shaken in the middle of a winnable game they trail 6-4? I don't buy it. I think we project our feelings onto what we "can just see."
  7. This staff is shot. We might as well have Jansen go 9 innings tomorrow to just save every arm we have.
  8. I don't get the 2-out bunting with a guy on first and a hitter with legit power at the plate.
  9. I used to think that. They have shown really no hesitation to throwing all sorts of goofy changes around.
  10. That wasn't Mysterio's finest hour, but if that throw is off line at all he's safe. It also actually looked like a good slide would have made it, he had a chance to get under that tag and just didn't come in smoothly at all. I am not sure 2nd was that much better than 1st at that point with Turang coming up.
  11. Yeah. 0%.
  12. I would chill on "stupid." People think this team is good enough to do it this year, and they are just anxious about blowing it, which is tough to argue with given the last few Octobers. We have all been through a lot of pain. I still have PTSD about Puig's ball over the fence in 2018 which I watched from the 7th row behind the plate. That night really hurt. I felt like the stars aligned for us that season. My dad is running out of years to see a championship (he was 8 when the Braves did it though). I think the regular season will end without the division ever really being in jeopardy though. It is a bit amusing to me though how everyone is so wrapped up in that when even if the Cubs finish 2nd, it's completely possible they just win the WC series and beat us in the NLDS. It's not really much of an assurance to win the division. It will be an anxiety-ridden gauntlet any way you slice it.
  13. I watch on FanDuel sports. I wonder how many times I've seen that "love, your mind" dad commercial this year.
  14. Nobody is getting a few days off except for the 1 and 2 seeds. Everyone has to stop acting like the Brewers are the first team in world history that has to tax their pitchers in September. It's all part of the grind and being the last one standing.
  15. This may very well be the worst game of the year. Losing 10-0 might look worse but this has had multiple self inflicted mistakes at several different points in the game. Multiple bad pitching performances, bad defense, just bad.
  16. Weeks had two very good seasons and was not really anything special outside of those. But for those two seasons he was the best 2B in the league at the time.
