  1. So close to a TD! But we score first, so good stuff.
  2. What is P Smith doing rushing the passer?? He should be shadowing JJ all day!
  3. No. Others on the team have been very chippy the last couple games. Getting in people's faces, little cheap shots after three play (Jaire included last game), and other punk player crap.
  4. Yes, as a matter of fact, I have. That doesn't excuse Jaire for injecting himself into a situation and doing stupid things. It doesn't excuse DBs getting into WR's faces after an incompletion while acting like they are a shutdown defense... If Jaire was simply chirping about the game plan (which he has been), I'd be ok with it. But it is the stupid, self-inflicted garbage that is happening on the field that worries me. But beyond that, the ST has been horrible for penalties. And our ST coach is supposed to be some sort of savant. Yet, we can't seem to get out of our own way. Lack of discipline. We all agree Joe Barry has lost the D.... but I'm wondering of MLF has lost them. If he survives the offseason, he will need to be very selective about the D-coordinator they pick to reign the team back in.
  5. Jaire is starting to sound more and more like a player out of control (and/or respect)... The team certainly lacks discipline as a whole. ST penalties, Defense constant chirping (despite no reason to be chirping) and being chippy on the field... they need a strong leader.
  6. No nothing directly at Barry himself... that actually would be pretty bad form... But Jaire has spoken many times about "the coaches" and his displeasure about the scheme or game plan. But I certainly agree that firing Barry sends a message to the team.
  7. https://fansided.com/2022/09/12/packers-jaire-alexander-justin-jefferson-ignored/ Jaire Alexander to me and @RobDemovsky postgame on coaches not having him shadow Justin Jefferson: "All week, (I was) asking for that matchup. But it ain't about me. It's about the team. It ain't about me. If it was my way, you know what I would be doing." When is Jaire ever subtle? 😂
  8. My memory is the same. Jaire was highly critical that he wasn't following JJ. In fact... I remember pseudo-defending Barry at the time stating that it wasn't that easy with his defense.. then he did it a game or two later with Jaire.
  9. Exactly what @brewcrewdue80 said. You get a "test drive" of a draft pick. Many draft picks will "fail" right out of the gates. So while you don't get a sure thing, you get a better shot at a MLB contributor.
  10. Any reference to HighHeat isn't an indication of anyone doubting you. It is more of a running gag... He was so over the top in trying to convince people he had a source inside the Brewer's FO that he obtained cult joke status.
  11. per year for the next 10 years...
  12. Just because I listed him first doesn't make him the centerpiece. Both the minor league pitchers included have much more trade value. Wisenhunt is probably the headliner there. You could just do Wily for the two pitchers per the value listed. But I figured grabbing Bart for Hedbert was an interesting "tack-on".
  13. I'm probably low in my estimate, but the Brewers have an odd aversion to QOs for whatever reason... This trade seems lopsided in our favor... but the numbers favor the Giants. Bart becomes our backup C with upside (and seemingly blocked with the Giants). And Wily brings back two good pitching prospects...
  14. Adames would have a good enough season to have the Brewers give a QO and for Adames to turn it down. I'd probably put it at 40% odds of that happening. It's probably the same reason you think he won't bring that much back in a trade...
  15. I generally eat out once per week at lunch. The fast food places are crazy. But there is a little Thai place that seems to have held their ground. A curry lunch special (which is way more food than a FF joint) still runs $10.
  16. This is the recipe I followed. The crust sounds complicated, but makes it easy to get the flaky crust. I'd probably just do canned pizza sauce next time, but this sauce was pretty good too. https://www.simplyrecipes.com/chicago-style-deep-dish-pizza-with-italian-sausage-5115964
  17. I got tired of trying bad Chicago style pizza's in the MSP area (yeah, I know, but you gotta try). So I simply made my own. First try and it was 200% better than anything around me. Yes, I'll be doing that again.
  18. I find Bear's games boring too.
  19. That is right.. draft and follow came back. Hard to keep the rules straight anymore.... 🤦‍♂️
  20. The point was that the rules have changed. Before they could continue to sign people up to the next draft (depending on when and where they played the next college season). Now you have a small window of 2 months or so to sign everyone and then it closes. Doesn't matter if he went to Juco or non-Juco anymore.
  21. Maybe they can get it fully cooked that way? 😂
  22. No one said this. What is true is that swinging a bat is easier on your back than swinging a bat AND playing the outfield. Being able to rest in the dugout (or maybe going back and stretching out, getting treatment) between ABs is easier than having to be out in the field every half inning. Since Yeli's value is in his bat (and not his defense), there is no reason to need him out there.
  23. Johnsonville Jackson Chourio Chorizo! Give me a JJCC with Stadium special sauce to go!
  24. What indication has there been that this is anything but MLF's call? Were MLF, Gute, and perhaps Murphy all involved in their hiring? And would there be a discussion about the firing? Probably both yes. But I'm guessing the lion share of responsibility is on MLF. Firing is never easy (I've managed people for 15+ years), but I don't see anything here that wouldn't provide ample reason for NFL process. The only positive I see is that Joe Barry's contract is up at the end of the season. I'm not sure if this is regarding the DC or just people talking. If it Joe Barry, players quitting on him is certainly a reason why you fire him now and not wait. If Jaire is doing the same thing, I appreciate him just being quiet about it instead of mouthing off like this. If Campbell is lipping off about the media complaints... well get some thicker skin. You'd never play if you didn't play through injury because you are always injured.
