  1. I guess I don't find this unusual. A kid "negotiates" with their parents, but that doesn't mean they succeed...
  2. Do you see the BIG10 doing a name change at some point? MadBad used B1G which isn't bad (kind of drops the 10, but you can still "see it"). If we hit 20, do the top program say We are in the BIG10, but MN is in the "other 10"? ?
  3. I know it won't happen because of $$, but it would seem the answer to all the conference shuffling and CFB playoffs would be to align like the NFL. One big "conference" with regional divisions. Win your region, move to the playoffs. But with so many CFB teams, you'd need to have a "major league" and "minor league" conference (or maybe 2 minor leagues?). Then (like European soccer) the worst team of the major drops down and the championship team of the minors moves up. No more dumb bowl matchups...it is all playoff football. It would be drastically different, but an improvement overall. But not without a lot of logistical challenges.
  4. And just like that the hardest hit ball chart just changed drastically.
  5. Well it explains why its 1-0 in the 6th. Nothing hit hard...
  6. I did find his quote ironic... ? That is a fair point and the main reason I don't buy jerseys with people's name on them. But I've also endured arrogant BB players on our team so I'm thankful when people at least realize they are blessed to play a game for a living (not that it is easy) and spread some joy to fans along the way.
  7. Rowdy has been a great addition to the team and boosted our 1B production, but you've got to love this story. https://www.mlb.com/news/rowdy-tellez-hits-two-homers-connects-with-young-fan “I’m not a superstar. I’m not a big figure in baseball,” Tellez said. “I have a cool name so people remember that. But I think what I do is I’m super relatable to people. I always tell people, ‘I’m a normal guy with a bad hairline who has a cool job.’ That’s really it. I love having a team of likeable players.
  8. If the Brewers end up selling off, I'd hope to see Feliciano over Severino. Severino might be a decent backup C, but Caritini is playing much better than we could expect from Severino. I can't see keeping him for a backup 1B against LHP. That seems a bit too niche for our needs.
  9. Good pun! Beauchamp seems to be the anithesis of Nwora. Too bad you can't merge players! Not a bad pick though. Maybe a younger version of Wesley Matthews (minus the 3pt shooting, but Matthews doesn't shoot too much of them anyway). I suppose it will be interesting to see how he can improve his shooting.
  10. Also classy of the Brewers to let him get to 10 years.
  11. It was time to go, but sad to see him go this way. I remember when Cain was drafted, it hurt when he was traded, but fun to watch the KC Milwaukee team have a good run, and it was good to have him back. And I miss the draft and follow process.
  12. I was just reading a bit about Brzic today and thinking the same thing. Crosby had issues last year (though holder might've been an issue) and his leg strength is visabily slipping.
  13. I wonder if OBJ is waiting to sign because teams are waiting on his injury or because he is waiting to get through TC and sign with the best option for him (i.e. watching for any injuries/trades/cuts before day 1).
  14. I don't agree with the Giannis must have the ball part. While Giannis did start a lot of offense with the ball in his hands, our offense was best when the ball was moving around with drives and cuts (often ending with Giannis making an uncontested dunk). The offense often stagnated when people were standing around watching him drive. Giannis-Halliday pick and roll combo was also quite effective.
  15. Going into the playoffs, I considered the downgrade from Tucker to Matthews and that turned out to be pretty big. Then having Mids sitting escalated the use of PC and Allen, which Boston abused this series.
  16. Has Nwora invented the mullet-fro?
  17. When can Bobby get rid of the glasses. He played well that first game, but hasn't shot well since...
  18. PC has but certainly not much else... GIannis with 40+ points and the team has 88... Ouch.
  19. Khris looks like he is moving well on the sidelines... I wonder if he plays if we go to game 7
  20. Doesn't matter who we put on Tatum, he is hitting. Plus, Boston simply does a pick until they get who they want on him. It isn't like we start with Hill on Tatum.
  21. Watching play defense makes me wish for the NCAA flop rule. My goodness they go down on every little bump... pathetic.
  22. I have to think (hope?) that Boston's 3pt shooting will cool. I realize they are getting good looks because that is what our D gives up, but even for that they are shooting the lights out. That an our 3ptrs trending back to average should even this game out.
  23. Allen and PC's defense is certainly making us miss Middleton. Wondering what happened to Allen's shot...wow he can't hit anything right now. Giannis makes another bad aggressive play...when we couldn't even get a 2-for-1. Just take your time and setup the offense.
  24. I'm not sure what Hill has left in the tank, but the Hill of a couple years ago certainly would be a benefit... however, I don't know that now is the point to get him back in the swing to see if he can bring that 3 point shooting. And Carter's D certainly has been distruptive for Boston. And hasn't been bad at the 3-ball himself.
