  1. Where are people getting week 3 as the plan for Bahk? Not just your own surmising, but from Bahk, MLF, or anyone else from the Pack? I remember hearing the offseason plan was the start of TC. Then the start of TC plan was Week 1 and the Vikings. Just curious if there is a basis (other than our own hope) that week 3 was the plan (and not Plan "F")? Barry's defense improved greatly as the season went on. Pass D looked good vs the Bears (low bar, yes) and Run D needs major help. But given that the first couple games amounts to a pre-season for the starters, I'm willing to see how it goes. But there is too much talent on this team to be that bad. For those that expect Jaire to go man-to-man on JJ. That does cause a lot of shifting and communication work on everyone else's part; especially as he goes in motion. Come mid-season, I'd expect that to be a little easier. For the first game of the season for many of them... I don't think they were ready to do that. Like it or not, but practice speed can't emulate game speed.
  2. Maybe it is the pessimist in me... well actually more of realist based on repeated actions... but when the goalposts keep moving it makes you wonder and be concerned about what is going on. I expressed concerns when he wasn't ready for TC, but people (not saying RRB - I don't remember who said it) here said he'd be fine because the coaches said so in press conferences. Then more concern when they activated him from the PUP and then took part in zero team activities. Yes, he had more going on than normal for an ACL tear, but that is part of the concern... Nothing seems to have a half-predictive timeline. And coaches are always going to tell you the sky is blue. If they really wanted him to go slow, having him stay on the PUP - out 4 games - and then activating him would've made more sense. If he is doing team drills now, I guess he is a few weeks ahead of that schedule, but just being out of football this long starts to get a bit concerning for reflexes, strength, reactions, etc...
  3. I was wondering about the "help his value" part also. Probably easier to get to be an All-Star because of the lack of talent at 3B, but overall, who knows how he'd respond to it. Plus, anyone signing him as a FA will know he can still play SS, so it isn't like he "loses" that notion.
  4. OL looked rough early, but solidfied later. Good to have Jenkins back. Myers with some uncharacteristic gaffes. I like how they are manufacturing plays for Doubs and Watson. Their speed out there is obvious. Watkins also looked good. Aaron Jones was amazing out there. the AJ/Dillon combo is pretty deadly. Nice to see Big Bob get a couple catches in. Lazard and Bob are going to catch a lot of TDs this year.
  5. Once they made him throw the ball... Run D is still suspect though... But a win is a win. 27-10 is a good win even against a bad team.
  6. Nice to finally stop the run...
  7. It was right there, but I don't think it was in.
  8. Do you think it was a direct snap to Watson? Rodgers looked surprised that the snap was coming, so I'm thinking Meyers issue.
  9. Bad snap looks like a Myer's problem there.
  10. TIme to get Big Bob rolling.
  11. Fields will hand one back...
  12. I figured the ST would improve from pre-season because they were trying out a billion different people on the different teams, but today has been solid. Rodgers ball security is still scary though...
  13. Tis better to have loved and lost than never Super Bowled at all...
  14. Aaron Rodgers new hair style...
  15. He looked really fast on that screen... REALLY fast.
  16. J-J-J-JONES! Love the DIllon lead block on that also.
  17. Aaron Jones doing Jones-things.... nice. Bears run D suddenly disappeared.
  18. Imagine the poor statician trying to keep up for fantasy football...
  19. Allowing a forward pass anywhere on the field would increase offense quite a bit. ? Rodgers with a nice PR too...
  20. Nice to see Watkins show up tonight.
  21. It was more embarrassing that Alexander gave up a receptiont to EQS...
  22. You just gotta R-E-L-A-X... ?
  23. Jenkins and Runyan starting. Put Tom at LG and I think our OL is strong again.
  24. Yeah, Burkett looked natural out there. Hill didn't really. Big kid, but looked really stiff. I did think that Mertz looked good out there. Yes, against a bad team, but after the first couple of drives, he looked very accurate - both the wide open throws and the contested throws (dropping passes in zones and up the seam). Seems like PC would be wise to get a couple easy tosses early in the game to get Mertz going. But his accuracy does look like it is miles ahead of this time last year. Even his pick was a tipped ball in a tight window, so I'm not worried about that. Big, big test coming with Ohio St though...
