  1. Funny thing was the punter tried to do the same thing, but no one paid attention.
  2. Great start on O, great start on D!
  3. Now what can our D do today.... That is the big question
  4. Cowboys clearly challenging the run game in the middle... need to counter with Kraft to the edge
  5. Yes, but our ace-in-the-whole is Mike McCarthy in the playoffs! 😂
  6. I'm not sure what you are trying to contend here... The video was Walker seeing an OL coming at him and countering (and knocking him on his butt). My observation was Walker is often oblivious to OL and getting taken out of the play. It has nothing to do how the DLs play. It is about Walker's vision as he makes his way to the ball carrier and countering those that get in his way. No matter how good your DL is, your MLB will have to counter OL at some point and get off blocks.
  7. Sure... but any MLB can make a play if no OL is on him. A MLB (especially in the 3-4) is going to have to deal with OL at times. But Walker often looked like he was watching the ball and then engulfed by a guard and run out of the play. At least here he saw the guy coming and kept himself off the block (by !!! means, to boot). Hope that is a growth point for him.
  8. The Jet's version of "How do they keep getting away with it?" with Favre/Rodgers made me LOL.
  9. Ok, I didn't intend to watch a 20 min youtube video, but that was pretty delicious. Skip the commercial for whatever food sponsor he has, but otherwise pretty funny.
  10. To be fair, Walker used to get swallowed up by OL, so this is really nice to see. Hopefully, he has learned how to chase the ballcarrier while keeping an eye on the OLs to avoid them. And I have to give JB props... the use of Walker as a spy/5th rusher was a game changer. He rushes very well from the MLB position and Fields had no where to run (when was the last time we have been able to say that about a Packer defense playing against a mobile QB??)
  11. I was thinking about this on Sunday after watching him set the record for a rookie... what would've happen if we drafted Nacua instead of Wicks? Would Nacua still have broken the record? How much of it is the Stafford-Nacua connection? Would Wicks have done anything close if LA drafted him? Not that I think Wicks and Nacua are equally talented. Just wondering how much of it is talent vs circumstances.
  12. Of course they can beat the 49ers. Any given Sunday. Now, the odds of beating them? Pretty low. But that doesn't mean we can't. Our D is obviously the biggest question on which one will show up each week. But football games are 75% the play of your QB. And I Love it that our QB is hot right now. The 49ers have a Purdy good QB, too. But it only takes one game...
  13. +1 I had them 8-9 and not in the playoffs. I only had two goals this year: 1) Was Jordan Love our next QB? 2) Grow the young guys. Check and Check. If our D had more consistency (and maybe success against anyone QB of note), I'd feel better about our long term playoff chances... but our offense is pretty hot and a challenge with all the options you have to cover. Jaire is going to go retro and play some CD music this week (that is a good matchup for him). I don't have high hopes of winning, but it is the Cowboys... and we still need some 90s payback!
  14. Can't overlook how almost ALL of the young TEs and WRs have really grown and developed over the last year or two. Props to the coaches that have been getting them ready every week and helping them grow.
  15. I think I'm at HR with Valentine and Musgrave too... V just looks a lot of Jaire out there. Musgrave was blowing up when he got hurt - giving Kraft much more opportunity. Yeah, this draft (and UDFAs and waiver pickups) have been just really, really good this year.
  16. Ha! I hardly remember that. Glad I make more sense long after I say things! I don't see any bank breaker moves... partially because we don't have huge holes. But if you have Owens and Johnson, draft a safety, and a FA safety... boom, safety fixed. Maybe you go find a K (though I think they stick with Carlson). Perhaps a G (though more likely Rhyan + a draft pick). Maybe OLB if Preston is cut? RB probably needs someone. Honestly, not any huge needs outside of safety. Thus, I think they will be active again (especially compared to the last few years), but I don't see any huge signings. Melton popping in has been shocking. Just busted on the scene suddenly. I'm not big on the DD comp. The 80 on the jersey is there, but he doesn't even look like the 5'11" he is listed at. Plus, he is much faster than DD. Wick left the CB in the dust on (I think ?) the second TD. Right off the line, he just broke the CB ankles (to use a BB term). It was so sweet!
  17. I was in the moment.... stop throwing reality my way. 😂
  18. I wanted Detroit again. It would've been cool for the Packers to eliminate the Bears (last week), Vikings (this week) and Detroit (potentially next week) from the playoffs back-to-back-to-back weeks. Yes, I know the Vikings technically eliminated themselves, but still... 😉
  19. Moore's "catch". The clearest view shows the ball roll out of his hands and the tip bounce off the ground back up to him.
  20. Kraft has come a LONG way this year. Our TEs right now are 🔥 and the future is bright.
  21. Aaron Jones, Aaron Jones, Aaron Jones. Is there a better 5th round draft pick we've had?
