  1. Does anyone have Ned Yost's record with the Brewers for nationally televised games? It seems like the Crew lose a lot of them and I hope today is not another.
  2. I just hope that the wild card race at the end of the year is not close. If it is, the Crew will have a very difficult time because, when the pressure is on, this team consistently gives in.
  3. If the Brewer's were a red-headed step-child, I'd beat the hell out of them right now.
  4. I have finally accepted the fact that this team is stupid (for lack of a better word). I have supported them for so long and have tried to put a positive spin on things but it all boils down to stupidity. I would like to get an IQ test on all the teams and see where the Crew ranks as I bet it's very low. There's no other explanation for a team consistently making the same mistakes without learning from them: 1. Called third strikes - when do you learn to protect the plate? 2. Swinging at the first pitch - if it's a fastball down the middle, sometimes it's ok to swing. 3. Swinging when a pitcher is struggling - if he hasn't thrown a ball in 6 straight pitches, don't help him. 4. Hitting with risp - you don't try harder when there are men on, and you don't need a home run every time. 5. Hitting with no men on, late in the game and down by more than 2 runs -- a home run still is only worth 1 run when no one is on. Get on base and stop striking out! 6. Sliders low and away with less than 2 strikes -- leave them alone. 7. The opponents best hitters are coming up -- try not to walk the bottom of the lineup. 8. Your team is not learning from its mistakes -- throw some damn bats into the showers to get their attention! It's about time the Crew start looking for brains on top of speed, defense, offense, pitching and coaching. I hope I look back at this vent in October and realize i was wrong, but I have a sinking feeling that may not happen.
  5. You've got to be kidding me. This team is one giant brain fart right now.
  6. I just hope that the Brewer hitters will pretend the bases are empty when they have risp tonight. That should guarantee an offensive explosion. The left on base machine has been overworked as of late.
  7. I'm curious, do the Brewers hold season ticket holders responsible for the actions of the people that use their seats? I know the Packers and Badgers will revoke season tickets if a fan using those seats is kicked out or arrested.
  8. I don't believe the team will sign either, but if they should make a run at someone, it should be C.C. He's younger, more durable and a much better pitcher. Sheets would be wasted money as he has yet to put together a good and consistent season. He starts his seasons off great and then cools off the second half or gets injured. No thanks. As for C.C., it would be great if they could get him signed to a 5 year deal, but that is unlikely. No pitcher is worth the risk of signing to more than 5 years.
  9. I don't think one has anything to do with the other. It seems that Sheets always starts off hot and then cools off the second half of the season. He also pitches poorly when matching up with Zambrano. Does anyone have numbers to support this?
  10. I wouldn't be concerned about all the Cubs fans at Miller Park. They are like locusts and are impossible to stop. The concern should be with the Crew's inability to shut them up.
  11. Is it me, or do the Brewers always seem to embarrass themselves at home against the Cubs. Wrigley does not seem to be an issue, but at Miller Park, in front of all those condescending jackasses, the Crew just seems to consistently implode. I don't know if it's poor managing, trying too hard, or the crowd getting in their heads, but it's getting ridiculous. I can no longer watch these games as the potential outcome makes me miserable. Even if they win, the overall stress is not worth it. I actually watched Bridezillas tonight after the Cubs scored their first run as I could sense the inevitable. I must be getting sick.
  12. Making fun of a kid's disorder crosses the line (unless the disorder is just being a Cubs fan). The ushers should have put a stop to that immediately and I'm sorry to hear they didn't. With that being said, I still feel it's my job as a Brewer fan to make the Cubs fan's time at Miller Park as uncomfortable as possible. It's not ok to use profanity, throw things or make personal insults. But, it is ok to heckle the crap out of these swine. If they have the gall to show up at a rivals ball park and cheer like it's game seven of the WS every time they get a walk, I'm going to educate them on theirs and their teams shortcomings. There's nothing wrong with putting a condescending Cubs fan in his place.
  13. Weeks is the Derrick Turnbow of our infield. Time to let Durham have a few more shots at helping the team, or at least, not hurting the team like Rickie has done so well this year.
  14. Sheets needs to step up big time tomorrow and stop the bleeding as we can no longer rely on the offense for help during this stretch.
  15. Cameron too, hopefully. Yet another called third strike on the outside part of the plate.
  16. A bit of advice to Brewer hitters -- don't swing at balls in West Allis!
  17. Nevermind, another brilliant move!
  18. OK, Weeks needs to turn around and try to hit one out with his giant ass.
  19. Nice job C.C. and Riske considering they had to get 5 outs! The Crew should send an Christmas card to the Cubs after this year as Weeks, like the Jelly of the Month Club, is the gift that keeps on giving the whole year long.
  20. Thursday standing room only. The goal for my group of friends is to make Cubs fans as uncomfortable as possible.
  21. The Crew and their 8 game winning streak are only good for 6th in this weeks rankings. I would not have thought much of it, but the Mets are 5th and the Cubs are tied for 2nd. Are they all high?! I would even be fine with the Cubs' ranking as they are one game better, but the Mets are starting to win a few more than they lose for a week, and suddenly they are the 2nd best team in the NL? The Mets would be the 4th best team in the NL Central and ESPN ranks them #2 in the NL. I spit on their floor!
