  1. Surgery is getting more common for collarbones. Surgery will in fact speed up his recovery time. It allows the trainers/therapists to start motion and strengthening much earlier. This allows him to keep his strength and endurance up so that he can start baseball related activities much earlier. If he didnt have surgery they would have to wait until the fracture fragments healed before they started rehab.
  2. They stink on the road, but have had horrible luck as well.
  3. I think the Brewers got their excuse to bring up Green. Casey is going to be hurt after his dive tomrrow.
  4. Shocking how our lefty can get out their left handed power hitter
  5. My biggest problem with RRR is the rigidity of 8th/Loe and 9th/Axford. I think Macha was real good about using the bullpen especially when he had Axford get 4 out saves. That Loe homer to Votto was inexcusable and should not have happened. Axford should have been brought in the 8th. I think Loe can be a great asset to this team if used correctly. More of a 6/7 inning when you really need a ground ball. Hopefully Saito will be the main setup guy when healthy.
  6. So is it the wOBA of .291 or the -0.3 WAR that RRR loves so much about Kotsay? This decision makes no sense.
  7. I am heading for friday and saturday as well. Got seats from stub hub on friday. Still trying to figure out sat tix situation.
  8. Are you referring to the dropping of Roque Mercedes or Kotsay?
  9. I agree. I love his tools and want him to play everyday. He just should not bat second. They should just throw Hart out there let him get his at bats. Im sick of seeing Kotsay although he did hit the ball hard today.
  10. I am not a Betancourt defender, but there is no way he turns a double play by throwing a ball to Rickie. If I remember Rickie was running past the base. Betancourt had no other option.
  11. Do you think Hart's appendix untucked 'em before he was removed?
  12. I would like to know if these "scouts" are aware of the Reds injuries as well. This means nothing. Projections and non east coast baseball experts have the Brewers at the top or near the top. If Gomez or Yuni exceed expectations the Brewers could run away with the division considering the other teams injuries. I think the Reds are the team that should be worried about a collapse. Cubs have way too many holes to be considered with the other three teams. Anyone who thinks the Cubs are better than the Brewers this year would think Butler could make the final four two years in row. Oh wait. . .
  13. I like this trade a lot if we can extend Greinke/Marcum or both. Then losing Odorizzi isn't felt. In the future signing free agent hitters should be much more successful than the pitchers we signed the past two years.
  14. Castro appears to be better and is younger. I am worried that Escobar will be a punch and judy hitter with limited power.
  15. That is the first time I have ever seen 4 straight homers!
  16. I understand Ennder's point about defense, but guys like Weeks, Fielder, and Braun were picked in the draft when they were suppose to be. I don't think (I am not a draft expert by any means) the Brewers reached for any of these players. Hart was moved from 1st base. I guess my point is what player could they have drafted to make the defense better? Tulowitski instead of Braun is the only one I can think of right now, but with Tulo's injury history I don't know if that would have been a better pick. They also had Hardy in the mix during that draft.
  17. The Brewers coverage is horrible. I do give the JS credit for the Packers coverage. It's the only thing they do well.
  18. Why did Parra face Baker? Coffey was up and he is our ROOGY. was worried about Fukodome pinch hitting?
  19. Can't Casey be our super sub at 3rd/2nd/1st if needed? Cruz and Casey would be our backups and our infield would be set for a few years and cheap.
  20. Interesting the Brewers like Moore. I know nothing about him, but he is in high A ball and seems to walk a lot hitters. He probably wouldn't help the major league club for 2 years.
  21. Melvin is here regardless of the 2nd half record. I certainly dont think Macha is the reason for the team's poor performance, I believe it appears that the team is not entirely behind Macha. Things like the stories of Braun going into Macha's office last year screaming (I don't know if true or not), and watching Fielder stare into the dugout after getting called out on a check swing make me wonder.
  22. The good news is that there have been rumors of three teams interested in Hart, he Braves, Rays, and Giants. Maybe the return can be higher than originally thought.
  23. I have watched the Brewers since 1977, I believe that Gomez is the best defensive outfield talent the Brewers have had. I too would like to see the list of hundreds.
