  1. Hardricourt has a new blog up saying the same thing. It may take Escobar and that would be too much. I am starting to think that nothing gets done. Also starting to think we should see what we can get for Cameron and Hoffman (and maybe Hardy) and restock for next year. I agree with many others here...we are not one or even two players away. We need a top starter (or two) another bullpen arm and I would still like to see another lefty, high OBP. hitter. As much as I would like the Brewers to make it this year, odds aren't good. Maybe if we get hot in August we still have a chance, but this is not a World Series Team. Lets go with what we have and look toward filling needs for next year, while trying to get the current team going enough to get close.
  2. Well, If it is for Peavy it will be a month. According MLBtraderumors.com, He will be out a month with his ankle. So if it was Peavy, do we wait for him, or go with whoever plan B was?
  3. 4 @ FLA (2-2) 3 @ATL (2-1) 3 vs COL (2-1) 3 vs CWS (2-1) 3 @ CLE (2-1) 3 @ DET (1-2) 3 vs MIN (2-1) 3 vs SF (2-1) 3 vs NYM (2-1) 17-11 16 home runs
  4. 3 vs ARZ (2-1) 2 @ PIT (1-1) 2 @ CIN (1-1) 3 vs CHI (2-1) 3 vs FLA (2-1) 3 @ STL (1-2) 3 @ HOU (2-1) 3 @ MIN (1-2) 3 vs STL (2-1) 3 vs CIN (2-1) I am going with 16-12 as well. Think there may be some upside for a couple more wins as well. Go Brewers!
  5. I was close. Had the Philly, New York trip figured as well as the good finish. Unfortunately at best I will still be one game off.
  6. Please let there be baseball tomorrow as I do not think I can wait another day.
  7. I will go 13-9. I think they will split the New York, Philly trip. Then a good finish with the pirates and Astros.
  8. Actually, no!. That was Saturday. We still lost, but eventually got some runs. We will not get shut out today either.
  9. Well, I went back and forth. In the end, I decided I still have 9 days vacation. I waited 26 years for this and I cant wait until the end of the day. If I stayed at work I would be useless any way. So I will be in in the morning, Leave by one and site in front of the TV to enjoy the game.
  10. This is kind of funny, but my wife is pregnant and due November 7th. Mind you she was 2 weeks early with our first and a month early with our 2nd. So basically starting next week anything goes. Well since the end of July (maybe earlier) I have been teasing her that with my luck the Brewers make the World Series and she goes into labor during game 7. Now I am hoping I am that lucky. I am willing to take one for the team. Go Brewers!
  11. Wait, this coming from the person who wrote this yesterday: I fully expect them to lose by 4-6 runs tomorrow, with Sveum taking out CC early so he doesn't get hurt for his next team once they are losing by enough runs. And of course the Mets will win easily with Perez. This team has no heart and hasn't played a complete game well all month long, so there is no reason to believe that tomorrow will be any different. CC is overworked and can't do it alone. For the record, I gave my tickets to someone who hadn't had a chance to go to a game all year. I wish I had been there, but enjoyed it online and on TV with Brewerfan.net Nation. I am only half way through this thread so I apologize if this has been touched on a bunch, but needs to be said again. Pedro your generosity to everyone is amazing and is much appreciated. Many Brewer fans have benefited from your kindness, myself included. Just wanted to say thanks again!
  12. I still can't believe it. I was stuck in the car for the end of the game, But got to hear Uecker's call. I am so wired and so excited it is rediculous. I have'nt been able to be on Brewerfan.net a lot this year, but I am going be on here a lot more. There is no one else (well other than my two sons) that I would want to share this with. We have some of the most loyal fans on here and I am looking forward to October!
  13. I am pacing back and forth with both games on in picture in picture....My blood preasure is probably rediculous now.

  15. I did a shot of Jack to the baseball gods....seriously this is nerve racking. My wife thinks I am nuts. And worse yet, we have tickets to take the kids to a pumpkin farm in Racine and have to meet people around 2:30. I will be walking around that pumpkin farm with a radio. It's been a fun, yet stressful, season...But it can't be done yet. Go Brewers, lets get this done.

  17. Im there with you on Molitor. I think I almost cried.
  18. Pedro - You are the best. Please add me to the list. I've been looking for a reason to take a day off of work. Thanks!
  19. Alright, coaching my sons little league has kept me away from posting here. But luckily I am done at the right time. This is amazing. I too have been losing sleep. I hate going to work because I want the next game to start. I am going to need Betty Ford to kick my baseball addiction. This is unbelievable. I need to hang around here more so I can share this with the best Brewer Fans around!
  20. Totally wrong. I have gotten some tickets from Pedro before and still am very appreciative. If you don't plan to use them don't take them and if something changes offer them back or pay it forward. Although it seems like this case was just someone trying to make a buck. Very sad to hear.
  21. Please add my name Pedro! Thanks, it is appreciated!
  22. Was just about to post that! We know what the fans can do, lets get him in.
  23. Just because mangement said that they didnt want to negotiate before or during the season doesnt mean it shouldn't be upsetting. With Sheets performance I was hopeful that may have changed. I too have faith in Parra and Gallardo, but both of them are better with Sheets (or someone similar) at the top. There is no one close in the minors and honestly I would like someone with some experience at the top of the rotation. I honestly feel that we are very close, maybe we make it this year maybe we dont. But either way I want to have a chance for a few years. Sheets (when healthy) has always been a stabalizing force in our rotation. I am just not sure how, or if, the Brewers will replace that. Then again maybe Sheets decides to stay anyway....who knows.
  24. But will they spend it elsewhere and what can they spend it on. If they lose Sheets, they need an ace. Look how much it cost to get Suppan. Not very optimistic that they get something that can replace him.......unless Fielder is as good as gone and they trade him for pitching.
  25. Sheets to test market Just read this. This upsets me quite a bit. I know he has had injury problems, but even with Gallardo back our rotation is not playoff calliber without him. They need to find a way to keep hib, but someone will throw a lot of money at him.
