  1. what happened to that whole faulty printer thing from last season? guess they're just ignoring that. I feel that was adequately addressed at the end of the season 6 finale when Michael gave a press conference. Seeing that they clearly established the passing of time, how much spillover from that incident would you expect there to be some 4 months later?
  2. I was moderately intrigued by the pilot for LoneStar, so I suppose I'll give that one another shot. On Thursday I'm looking forward to see how terrible Outsourced can get. Even if it didn't take the place of the best comedy on television, I'd hate it. Broad jokes about how foreigners are different, huzzah!
  3. Thanks guys. Your work on the LR is greatly appreciated.
  4. Patrick, US41 takes a bend southeast at around Mill Rd off of US45 and travels along Appleton Ave until it meets back up with a freeway stub at the stadium interchange. That's why it's confusing to refer to it as part of the zoo interchange for people who solely rely on what it is when it connects w/ I-94. If US41 never hit I-94 elsewhere, it probably wouldn't be as noticeable. Going northbound from the zoo interchange gets you onto US45, it meets up with US41 5 miles later, and then the two diverge around where Slinger is. US45 goes to West Bend and US41 goes to Fond du Lac and beyond. Anyways, what's bugging me is that today I encountered not one but two mice (on two separate occasions) in my basement. First one was captured in an empty strawberry container, second one was crushed by my rage between a milk crate and the wall. I. Hate. Mice.
  5. Does FSN have a SAP audio feed for their Brewers broadcasts? I know CBS58 in Milwaukee has it for the NFL games they broadcast and all it gives is ambient crowd noise. Pretty nice for whenever Rich Gannon is in the booth.
  6. I've also gotten a coupon for a mattress Everyone recieved $50 off a Verlo mattress set at one of the games against the Twins. Aside from the fact that people don't traditionally buy mattresses on whims, why would they utilize it against an opponent that typically draws well for the opposing fans who hail from an area in which there are no Verlo stores?

  8. WMLW also runs on 41.1 (in addition to 58.2). Ideally they'd boost the signal on that channel and drop 58.2, freeing up more bandwidth for CBS HD.
  9. MPTV in Milwaukee swapped some channels around today, with the end result being a diluted HD stream on 10.1. I don't watch PBS often, but when I have left it on the channel, I've always been supremely impressed with the quality of the picture and have ended up unexpectedly watching some programs in their entirety. Going from no sub-channels to three is a pretty significant drop off. Boo.
  10. I would drop baseball entirely if not for the Brewers, kinda like I dropped the NBA after they folded the Bucks after during the 2001 Eastern Conference Finals...
  11. Tool - Lateralus Air - Moon Safari Yo La Tengo - And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out Radiohead - OK Computer Explosions in the Sky - The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place
  12. It's not even the typos that bug me the post. Clearly! (couldn't resist...)
  13. Bejar was doing the same thing back when they played the Pabst in 2007 (Neko was there, too). I've always loved his contributions the best. I sing "Testament to Youth in Verse" to my son when he's acting up.
  14. I've been ripping through the Friday Night Lights seasons via Netflix streaming (great, great show) and after every episode, I have an urge to go listen to Explosions in the Sky. Never fails.
  15. Cheese sandwiches...
  16. looking forward to seeing lcd soundsystem at the rave in october. Got my tickets! Very excited in spite of the fact that it's at The Rave...
  17. The Office needs Ron Swanson.
  18. Here was my route home last night courtesy of the rain: I-94 to Hwy 100/Mayfair Rd to North Ave to N 92nd St to Meinecke Ave to N 91st St to Wright St back to N 92nd St to Lisbon Ave to N 100th St to Grantosa Ave and back to 92nd St yet again... Then took 92nd to Grantosa Ave to N 84th St to Sheridan Ave to Fond Du Lac Ave. Went SE down Fond Du Lac to Villard Ave, then went NE back onto Grantosa Ave again to get to Silver Spring. Stayed on Silver Spring to about 50th where I pulled a u-turn over the median to get back to N 57th St. Went north on 57th St to Carmen Ave to N 60th St to Mill Rd to N 68th St to Green Tree Rd to 84th St (where I saw what amounted to a lake in a stream just south of Noyes Park) back to Mill Rd to 91st. Then just took 91st to Bradley Rd and headed east on Bradley a few miles until I got to my neighborhood. Took about 90 minutes, on top of a 3 hour drive from La Crosse just to get here. Just thankful I didn't have any water in my basement.
  19. If anyone's even remotely a fan of My Morning Jacket or Tool and have the opportunity to see them, you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not going. Unless it's sold out and I need tickets... 2 of the best shows I've seen. Wilco at the Pabst last spring was a treat as well, after years of seeing them in the craphole that is the Rave. As for concerts with actual dates, I'm contemplating seeing Built To Spill @ Turner Hall on Friday, but will most likely pass due to budgetary reasons. Pretty much anything at Pabst/Riverside/Turner in Milwaukee is worth seeing. Great venues.
  20. At what point do we just throw out 2009 as a lost season for Dykstra? Couple this season with his 2008 performance in Helena, and you can really see the toll the personal distractions took on him last year. Even with the flameouts, the 2008 draft class still looks promising for the Brewers.
  21. Watched the steaming pile of mediocrity that was It's Complicated last night. Yuck.
  22. Paul, I noticed that too a few days ago. I don't travel that road much, but was thinking of taking it today actually. Not sure why it's down, but the state says whatever they're doing should be completed by the end of July: http://www.511wi.gov/web/...e&roadwayfilter=US+41+SB
  23. This is the best and worst thing to happen to the show. Michael's antics just hold it back, but without the big name I'm not sure they'll last long. I'd love to see them try though.
  24. I can't think of anything extraordinarily noteworthy that's happened on the field, but I was at the 6/15/2001 game between the Brewers & Royals that was suspended after 1 inning because the lights weren't working. Jamey Wright was poised for dominance, I say! Ahhh.... 2001, when Brewer-related misery was more acceptable.
  25. I used to bike in to the office in the summer when I lived 2 miles away from it, but I've since moved 200 miles away and work from home so no bike/car/bus is necessary. Work attire was business casual, with an emphasis on the casual, so clothing was typically not an issue.
