    Carlos Lee has announced his retirement from baseball. Lee said on a radio show in Panama that he received offers from four different teams over the offseason, but none of them were for the two years he desired. "El Caballo" hit .285/.339/.483 with 358 homers, 1,363 RBI and 125 stolen bases over 14 major league seasons.     Lagunitas is an incredible brewery. I've yet to have a disappointing brew from them. Anyone doing Clips of Faith in Madison tonight?

    It dropped yesterday. The new Kayne record also dropped as well. I don't quite understand the indie/hipster/critic love for it. Pitchfork gave it a 9.5. Does that mean London Calling is a 20? I made it through once. I feel like I need to give it at least one more listen, but man is it rough. I suppose it sounds decent when he stops telling me how great he is and the featured guests sing. Same here. I put it on when I was working out so I'll need to give it another listen when I'm paying more attention. First thoughts... Stop putting auto tune on Justin Vernon's vocals and let Frank Ocean sing way more. Use him on a chorus and not at the end of the track (I actually thought it was a completely different song.)

    A few of my favorites so far: The National - Trouble Will Find Me Mikal Cronin - MCII Justin Timberlake - The 20/20 Experience Youth Lagoon - Wondrous Bughouse "'The Terror' is the Flamings Lips best since 'Yoshimi', which doesn't say a whole lot but I did like 'Embryonic' quite a bit. Really their only mis-step in the past 20 years was 'At War with the Mystics'." I couldn't disagree more. I think the Lips are at the best when their weirdness (not sure how else to describe it) has some pop sensibility. The Terror and Embryonic are good, but I think At War with the Mystics is superior.

    I'm thinking about taking my pops to the Snappers game on Sunday for Father's Day. What's the latest we could arrive and still get a Snappy bobble. I haven't been to a Snappers game in a few seasons so I'm not sure what the crowd is like these days.

    I am considering taking a job in New Orleans, but I have never been there. It seems like a fun city for a single guy and it would be completely different than anywhere I've ever lived. Has anyone here lived in NOLA? If you visited, what were your impressions of the city?

    I finally watched the last episode. There is a chance they will show it next week so I won't say much, but there is a glaring omission with what is done with an animal and a body.
