  2. It's a revolution of the mind.
  3. ESPN reporting that Doug sent an e-mail to Ned last night thanking him for putting the team in a "position to win". On the bottom line now...
  4. I feel sick to my stomach. I haven't felt this way since the Terps National Championship in 2002. As someone said earlier, I almost want to just go to bed and look up the score later. I'm so nervous right now.

  6. OK...one last weekend push for positive vibes! Positive Vibes so far from Shea as well!
  7. Holy payroll! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif
  8. Both CC's
  9. We can eliminate another team toinght!
  10. Sabathia is a big boy. He can handle that work, and he has proved that. Saving innings here and there really doesn't mean much.
  11. Hall should be starting tonight. Career 15 for 23 against Maholm. No brainer to me.
  12. ummm WOW...did anyone actually see the HR? There wasn't much doubt. AWESOME
  13. IIRC it took quite a while to write, a lot of backspacing and retyping.
  14. My head doesn't feel good http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/ohwell.gif
  15. I need to spill some stuff. Sure I've been drinking all night since the 9th inning, but this just makes it even more legit. OK. We've come too far. It's been a great season. I've watched every game via MLB.tv or ESPN or however I can watch. I even drove through a driving rainstorm to get to Philly only to have the game rained out. I'm 21 years old. I grew up in Boston and survived as a Brewers fan through the most obnoxious fans you can imagine. All my friends and family celebrating two World Series titles in my face while I sat on the couch and counted the days down til spring training for the Crew. I haven't been able to go to any Brewers games since the team got shipped to the NL. My dad pretty much disowned me and still hates me for not liking the Sox. Again, tons of losing seasons, the "almost" winning season in 1996 with my boys Cirillo and John Jaha. Damn, you have no idea how what it was like with all these bandwagon "jerks" in Boston. Anyways, I survived. EVEN through the 100 loss season in 2002 http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif. It's been fun watching Sheets develop and the team develop over the past several years. We have a new image this decade with a new park, a new logo, a new image, and a new idea of what "winning" should be. We'll always be Brewers fans, we keep coming back...can't get rid of die hard Brewers fans. Flash to the present. I'm here. Red Sox fans breathing down my back still. More importantly, WE'RE here. There are fans who have been with this team YEARS longer than I have. I respect them so much, I just wish I was born before 1982 http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif. We're not out of this. We can DEFINITELY go 7-2 down the stretch which I think will be enough. Heck, we could even go 8-1 as one poster suggested. Let's just do this. I've come to far to give this up. We've come to far to give this up. It's time to rally around this team while we still have a great chance to dance! Leave the negative vibes for the offseason. The Brewers are still in contention in late September. Haters, save it for a few weeks!!! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?! (sorry had to add that in) Let's go Brewers! Crew fans from all over, let's rally. TLB...GET YOUR RALLY CAPS ON!!! [/end drunken rant]
  16. I've been drinking since about 5:30 EST. Pardon my appearance. It's been that kind of day. : (
  17. ^^^^ I agree, this game would go a long way for this club.
  18. Honestly it would be nice to win this game, but I see it as playing with house money. Win 2 of 3 @ Reds. Sweep the Pirates at MP. 2 of 3 vs. a resting Cubs at MP. That puts you at 91-71. The Mets would have to go 8-3 or better to win the W-C outright in that case.
  19. Nice! The Nats is the local team here so I can watch both games at once (MLB.tv)
  20. Also, this day off has been big for the fans and the club. At least to me, I've come to this realization: It's now a 12 game season. We have a new manager, a great rotation, and a lineup that can still do damage. No one is giving up from the top down in the Brewers organization. Its a dog fight from here on in.
  21. I think we can all say we have enjoyed seeing CC in a Brewers uniform these last few months. To me, the deal was worth it no matter what happens these next 12 games. Also, wherever he lands next season and from here on out, I am a CC Sabathia fan (except if he lands with the Cubs or when he pitches against the Crew!)
