  1. And Yeager closes the door. 6-4 Shuckers. Nice start by Shane Smith. And Bowman - Yoho - Yeager is a nice back end of the bullpen.
  2. any reason tonight's line up announcements are in the Minor League Transaction Thread, as opposed to the Friday minor league link thread? I see the rehabbing players listed for Nashville, but didn't know if the Biloxi or Wisconsin line-ups have any transactional players in it?
  3. All a good problem to have - competition among players performing well. ‘Let’s hope these performances continue and grow as we bring in new players.
  4. I forgot about him.. Burke - Adamczewski - DiTuri - Bitonti and Baez at DH so he doesn’t have to field lol
  5. Sweet. He and Adamczewski have continued to hit. Looking forward to seeing them join DiTuri in Zebulon. That will be an interesting IF: 3B Bitonti, SS DiTuri, 2B Adamczewski, 1B ? Walling, with Baez mixed in too once healthy from his rehab. Time to move Pratt and maybe Y Garcia up?
  6. Dangit. Bitonti has a lot of strikeouts in him. I love the offense he brings, unreal. But will need to cut down on the Ks as he advances.
  7. He is still ridiculously young. Remember he is only what 6 months older than Yophery Rodriguez. So he does have time to mature. But if he did the fundamentals right he would be a high end prospect.
  8. Baez with his second error lets another run in. Boy he can hit the ball, but he will need a lot help in fielding. The video of his drop is bad, and I can only imagine what the other errors looked like. 7-2 down Brewers are up trying to get a rally. Barrios out, but single and walk, and now back to the top of the lineup.
  9. So the ACL Crew is the only minor league team with a losing record for the season I believe. And they can't seem to get out of that hole. A few wins, but then losses pile up again.
  10. And then walk, strikeout, single, single and it's now 6-2. Rough inning so far for Rivera. Cubbies still up and only 2 out.
  11. I expect he will sign, rarely do 1-2 round picks go unsigned, and not likely with the Brewers as I'm sure they knew what it would take. The matter of when ink is dry is unknown, and then when it is officially reported (usually during homestand for the top picks). As far as signings go - any word on UDFAs? Baseball America is tracking and I've seen nothing reported there yet. Unusual as the Brewers typical sign a few.
  12. It is interesting with these young players. Chourio had a great June and is coming back down - a trend, or just part of the process. Turang - as alluded to has cooled off a lot - a trend or just part of the process. Hopeful that these are just processes and these young kids will fulfill their potential as regular MLBers and borderline All Stars. Together these 3 with Ortiz and Contreras (also two of whom has had slower months from injury downtime and overuse, respectively) will fill in the core moving forward with a Yelich, and a couple of other prospects. Now on to developing pitching..... what's that we drafted a pitcher or two, how nice 🤣
  13. Yup Gardner rehabbing. 4 batters, and 4 Ks. 5-3 on to,the 9th.
  14. Ugh. A wild pitch scores a run, but that’s all. Barrios, Walter and Ibarguen all strike out. Baby Brew Crew up 5-3.
  15. Bitonti has accounted for all the runs - 3 RBI on his 2B and a run scored. Alastre singles to lead off the 6th, and T. Rodriguez doubles, runners in 2nd and 3rd. Let’s get some runs. Heck let’s get Bitonti to bat this inning ;)
  16. Get angry Eric. So mad that your 1.000+ OPS makes the opposing pitchers buy you a ticket to Zebulon.
  17. And it’s rehabbing Easton McGee out for the 2nd. Birchard night is done.
  18. Yeah they decided to jump the gun and signs guys BEFORE they could be college or JuCo pitchers (lol) The draft this year was sponsored by the letter "P", and also by the letters "HS"
  19. Wowza!! 10%of all HS draftees to one team This is a Stearnsian / Arnoldisn zig when the league zags. ( see; signing FAs in 2019 when teams weren’t; building around pitching and defense when others were all in on offense/HR/OPS 2021-2023; drafting JuCo in 2019-2023 when others rarely scouted it)
  20. Somewhere there is a Cooper Pitt who is upset that he is now getting confused with due to this email. LOL
  21. I agree with Made and Pena who probably are on lists - given their prospect status prior to the DSL season. Anderson is making a statement. Ortuno too, but defensive home and size will be viewed by some as a knock. And King will also be affected by size, and does anyone know his arsenal - has that been reported by the Brewers player development links or other first hand reports?
  22. Ok. Fair enough we have multiple players but legit prospects, you can never have enough SS. They stick, move to 3B or 2B, or don’t develop. I think the ACL/DSL kids are too far down. But Pratt is legit. Adamczewski - good call and I completely forgot about him, my bad -although he’s been mostly 2B at ACL. And I agree, but maybe not “gaps” but areas where you can stock up, relative to other teams. And C is still a gap after Quero. Either way I am for the pitching run, just stating we do have areas where we can use more.
