  1. For me - a solid month of July. If he can get to the 5th inning I’d move him up late season If pitch count, control and inconsistency still plague him, he stays in AA until next year for me. ‘For a prospect like him I see it’s about consistency and development- his stuff can play, but has to get deep into games on a regular basis and make it work even when his stuff isn’t all there. I am in a minority and probably harsher on him than others - I have a soft spot for some struggling or undervalued players who I will still defend (Lara for example; most of Wisconsin pitching staff as undervalued like Rodriguez, Cortez, Letson). But Misiorowski can be a star if and big IF he can learn consistency start to start, inning to inning. I don’t know that moving him up when he isn’t doing that right now.
  2. So that’s four pitchers needed for 2 games. Low hits, no ER allowed. Very very nice start to the series for TRats pitching, and solid hitting to boot
  3. What about riding 3C for a week or two. Get Contreras some days off or whatever is needed to get him to mvp level again. A line up with Yeli, Contreras hitting and Adames/Hoskins being threats will be solid come September. Once Haase cools you can try to send him down again, or try to trade him. But July could be a good time to get some rest for some key players like Contreras.
  4. Since Luke had his rare 3 K start to last night - all looking I believe- he has now reached bases 5 times consecutively single last night in his last AB, 2 BB today, then HBP, now 2B And Lara has two hits both hit hard. Missed a homer by about 3-5 feet today. A strong second half for him would be such a welcomed development since he is one of only a few OF prospects and while very young he is not hitting much this season.
  5. Hot dog. It’s salami time. Valerio GS makes it a 5-0 TRats lead. No surprise that Adams is 0-0 with 2BB and scored a run on Valerio’s slam.
  6. What about Cornielle. Since his rough April, he has had 9 starts, almost 49 IP, and only 8 ER, and only 28 hits. With a K:BB of 41:18. Can cut down on the walks a bit, but that’s quite a run.
  7. Aquino with a 4 inning save. Shutout combo with Cornielle/Aquino and yes some Ks in tha game ; 11K by the two of them to only 2BB.
  8. Would love the big boys in Milwaukee. But not likely. Ugh
  9. Adams take the bat off his shoulder and what do you know-a single up the middle.
  10. Yeager 3 up and 3 down. Shuckers with a big come back win. Hopefully that’s a theme tonight - comeback wins for the good guys.
  11. Final Mudcats win it on a high fly ball to LF. ORae with a walk but Rodriguez with a solid liner but to the OF. Shuckers on to the 9th now up 5-4. Let's see who gets to close it out for biloxi. Aquino allows two hits trying to keep it scoreless. Let’s get that 3rd out of the 8th and yes a K. 4-0 heading to bottom 8. Solid pitching by TRats (Cornielle for 5, Aquino for 3).
  12. And base hit by Scott - it’s 5-4 shuckers now. Still no one out, and Sparks up. Pitching change for Chattanooga Meanwhile Maldonado on to try to close it out for Mudcats. And is the Cincinnati Arizona complex stadium just like great American - it’s 5-3 after one 😳
  13. Good news Biloxi has gotten a run back. Two on, none out, down 4-3 in the 9th, wild pitch, but no one runs fortunately as the ball came right back to the catch. Phew
  14. Oh great. Just what we needed i guess that’ll help with the 40 man roster crunch 🙄
  15. Tyler Bryant - gives up 2 hits and the. Walks the bases loaded. But gets the K to strand it. Still 2-1 Mudcats Nashville has the bases loaded. Black strikes out. Oof. 0-0. Hall is out for inning #3.
  16. Cornielle is out after 5. Aquino is in and gets 2 outs quickly
  17. DL Hall labors through 2 IP. I mean 5 of 6 outs are K. 2BB and 2H, took 51 pitches to get through 2 innings. Is tha MLB ready? Maybe bullpen ready?
  18. Wow. Don’t see that often. Adam’s 0-3 with 3K. Not his night
  19. Huge hit by Areinamo. Breaks the game open - caught at third but 4-0 TRats.
  20. And Y. Garcia walks, steals and advances to 3rd on an error. Norman big double. Mudcats up 2-1.
  21. So Castillo singles. Advances to 3rd on an error pick off attempt, and then wild pitch. 1-1 muddies tie up.
  22. 5 complete for young Alexander Cornielle, 6K, 2BB, 2H. Nice start for him
  23. To answer my own question. YES and 6 IP, 79 pitches, 7K. This will be an outing I will watch later. So impressive for this young man. Wow
  24. No hitter broken. Yay. Yophery. but alas nothing comes of it. Will Rodriguez pitch a 6th inning?
  25. Great review. Most were lower round players that either scouts saw something to take a flyer on, or the fell due to signability (although was that as much of a thing in the 70s-90s?) The ones that hurt - Alex Fernandez who could have been a true ace for the team in the 90s. And Nomar as a 5th rounder - he would have hit well in the late 90s with Cirillo, Jaha, Vaughn etc. I do remember hoping that Pence and Rodin would have been signed but sounded like they weren’t going to give the draft position, but Crotchet I knew nothing about really until last year.
