Yeah the most exciting thing about this summer in the minors was having both increase in talent (prospects stepping up and/or improving) and adding talent (mlb draft, international FA), AND having success. Seeing the teams play well. And Carolina being so young, and the Shuckers being led by some young and impactful players.
Each level had players to watch, rarely a night off from prospect watch.
What a summer. Hopeful these players develop.
I want some day to do a deep dive into the prospect pool and how it compares to prior years (2004-2006, 2014-2015, and the 2017 peak years). A few high end players, good overall depth, and in general overall youth of those prospects (about 1/3 of the top 30 prospects are teenagers and several only 20-21)
