  1. A lot of offense all around. Sadly most of it against Milwaukee affiliate’s pitching. Yikes TRats top 3 of the order seem ok don’t they? Rest of that line up - not so much - well Alastre has two hits. Sam Garcia struggled, and really hasn’t hit his stride in high A. Quero with a nice night. sounds win. Yoho and Fitzpatrick with scoreless outings that’s good. Shuckers offense Ok. KC Hunt not so much. One of the few guys who regressed this year that was not injury related. Secretly I am believing the pitching development staff wants him to focus on a few things and he is getting hit because of it and next year he will come out stronger. Mudcats pitching staff seeing their ERA jump after tonight’s beat down. Muddies not doing so well with the promotions and injuries, and pitching staff of essentially only teenagers. Good learning curve, but gonna make the playoffs a lot harder to make. DSL kids win - and that karma results in loses at the other affiliates 😟
  2. Looks at scores and see Ethan Workinger hits another HR against Biloxi. That guy loves him Shuckers pitching. I will have to look up how many of his seasons HRs came against Shuckers pitchers this year... OK I looked it up - he has 16 on the year, and 9 (yes 9!) against Biloxi. That is insane, over half of them against a team they play a few times a year (this the 4th series of Biloxi v Columbus) Just wild. Bob Seymour is the other guy I recall just mashing Brewer minor league pitchers, and I'm sure there are others, but Workinger vs the Shuckers it the tonic he needs apparently.
  3. my fingers were all thumbs last night (typing wrong base runners, getting innings and outs confused, and now typing 100 when I clearly heard 110 - i think it was stated as 109.7 and Mehring says lets round it up to 110). Wow all kinds of rookie mistakes by me last night - pretty exciting games and lots of activity to watch.
  4. It is the depth that is key. I posted last night but out current infield depth with serious prospects is as follows: 1B - Burke, Adams, BItonti 2B - Adamczewski, Dickinson SS - Made, Pena, Pratt 3B - Wilken, Fischer, Ebel That doesn't even factor in DiTuri or CJ Hughes among others, and still after trading away Areinamo and Quintana (only Areinamo would have made this short list) Then add the pitchers, and a small breakdown of the drafted pitchers I reviewed in the 2025 draft discussions with their ages and level and appropriate success So yeah a LOT of depth. AND high end talent to boot. That's what you want in a system
  5. It's karma - how many bad calls have caused hiccups particularly it seems in Mudcat games the past 2-3 weeks
  6. Yeah I was just thinking about the great depth the brewers have across the infield, but how I can't put DiTuri into this grouping yet: 1B - Burke, Adams, BItonti 2B - Adamczewski, Dickinson SS - Made, Pena, Pratt 3B - Wilken, Fischer, Ebel Di Turi was solidly on that list in May/June, but he has fallen off again. Disappointing to see. Hopefully he can work on that in the offseason. Last year he had to improve his power and he did, this year he has to improve his stamina for the whole season.
  7. Wow. After a lot of bad calls going against our teams (looking at you in the Mudcat game the other night ignoring anything Adamczewski did), the T-Rats just were gifted an out. Liner to third, and Fischer can't snare it, it gets away and he runs to the bag and was late but George called out then throws to 2nd to get Hope for a DP. Blown call but I will absolutely take it Then Figueroa strikes out Gelof. That is how you end it. What a game, absolute chaos the last inning, just wild. A win - however it was even if a blown call assisted it, is a win I will gladly take. Go watch the first inning of the TRats offense and the last inning (bottom of the 8th), and you will be entertained. EDIT: meant to write bottom of the 8th as the home team. Too excited, rookie mistake by me
  8. Walks Hope, and 2 on with no out. Figueroa making it more difficult on himself. Can't squander that wonderful comeback now can we? Let's get some outs now.
  9. Walks the first batter George, and then it's Hope, Wagner and Gelof. Not the batters you want to face here.
  10. Just not Dinges night. He does not have off nights like this often. But he Ks to end that rally, but wow what a comeback by the kids in Appleton.
  11. OK So excited I didn't realize that Made held up. So it was TIED But no worries Andrew Fischer bails me out with the most Brewer of any hit a squibbler between pticher and 1B and he beats it out for an infield single. And Pena scores from 2nd on an infield hit. Yup you read that right. Pardon my post before, but T-RATS now LEAD!
  12. Holy heck Pena rips a double to left, and T-Rat now LEAD!! What a comeback. Some magic alright. It's in the air.
  13. Yes sir. Hedbert with a single, then a walk by Castillo and a balk. With two outs Guilarte base hit to score two. Now Made hits it and it falls just in front of the CF. Some magic here, let's see if they can continue some 2-out magic. It's 6-5 T-Rats still trail, but tying and go ahead runners on base.
  14. Agree. It is better than earlier in the year when he was airmailing the throws to second. Now he is either bouncing them, or tonight going to far over to this left on the throws. But comparing his first week or two at Carolina to now it is a noticeable improvement so I know he can make the necessary changes and improve.
  15. Rund almost escapes with just teh run. Gets a frosty K and then a grounder force out at home But a wild pitch. Dang and it's 6-3 Loons Almost at 40 pitches in just this inning. Gets the batter swinging. But not after creating a mess for himself and getting out with 2 runs allowed.
  16. Cooper Pratt I mean an absolute no doubter - he knew it when he swung. Off the bat at 98 mph. Just crushed it and Shuckers are up 14-8!
  17. Wow what an at bat by Loon hitter Munoz. Fouls off 7 in a row and 9 of 10 pitches Then Rund gets a nice pitch on the inside of the plate and the batter moves back and the ump goes with the batter and calls it a ball. Close pitch maybe a touch inside. Unfortunately Loons win the at bat and a walk scores a run, TRats now trail 5-3. Bases still loaded and no one out. Yikes
  18. OK Javik corrects himself. It was out at the plate, but no matter Vargas rips it to center and 2 runs in. 11-8 Shuckers. Just wow. Down 6-1 at one point. Meanwhile Rund has loaded the bases against Great Lakes with no one out. Oh boy
  19. Not sure if he scored or not - EBJ grounds to SS and Wood comes home, Javik is saying it is a 10-8 Shuckers lead and GameDay has him out 🤷‍♂️
  20. Just a killer. Bases loaded via 2 walks on 8 pitches. And Dinges is up 2-0 and swings at a slider and just gets over it. Grounder right to 2nd base and its an inning ending GIDP. T-Rats still trail 4-3. Made/Pena/Fischer are making waves, and Dinges with a rare off day offensively.
  21. Well, Pratt is not breaking out of the slump that I hope But Blake Burke is enjoying the Southern league for this southern man. Hits it opposite field to left (aided by the wind blowing out that way) Shuckers get the lead. Just wow!
  22. TRats two quick outs. It is really Made/Fischer tonight for the offense. Bottom of 6 and Alastre singles Shuckers trying to keep it tied in the top of 6, with 1 out and a runner on second. Big comeback last inning. Will check back again in a bit.
  23. The Shuckers rally is even crazier when you factor in that the inning started out with Pratt and Burke striking out and I was looking up how many times Lucas Braun has faced them (3 times prior to tonight), then it was walk to Lara that started it all off. Yikes Vargas (EDIT: I thought it was EBJ but he scored) caught stealing to end the inning.
  24. Now that was a bullet by Dinges, a little to the SS side but a dart and Pena gets the tag down. Caught stealing. Nice job. See it's all there just need to gets the throws more consistent.
