  1. Walk (Adams), single (Boeve), single (Pratt bloop hit), walk (Wilken) and a Lara sac fly and Biloxi gets 2 runs back. Now lead 5-2. Cornielle was good tonight, but not great, and at 71 pitches he may be done after 4 IP or may get a chance for the 5th but I doubt much more than that. And Warren grounds in a force at second, and a run scores, now 6-2 Shuckers. EDIT: updated the score as I was off by a run
  2. Did he look like he hurt himself on any of those steals?
  3. Boeve crushes one to right. Wow - that is a sweet swing if he can get that timing back hold on. 3-1 Shuckers!
  4. Wow. Complete game gem by Hernandez. That’ll save the bullpen. But still so impressive, as he has had a good season and is turning into this year’s Manuel Rodriguez - essentially giving you 5 IP per start, and generally very few walks which is how you do that.
  5. 6 IP and needing only 81 pitches is great. 7K to 0 BB is even better. Especially since he is so young. I will have to watch him pitch again, but from what I saw earlier this year he has a lot of upper body and arm action and if he gets more lower body into his pitching he could have more velocity I would think, but I am far from an expert.
  6. I am happy to see Vire is only a 7-day IL stint at least. Pray that it is not more than that. And Gillis and Welch swapping teams makes sense seeing how Gillis needs the challenge, and Welch could use a chance to get some confidence back.
  7. I want only the best success for every prospect and would love to see a team full of all these guys I've watched and rooted for the past several minor league seasons But I would pump the brakes on Wilken. He has had a great 3 weeks, but there is a big difference between a guy (albeit very talented and a recent high draft pick) doing well at AA in his second go around (yes all the disclaimers of his lost season last year) and getting to the bigs and succeeding. I think it is also good for Brock to have some confidence (after his disaster season last year) for a little while in AA and work himself through the next struggle/slump that inevitably occurs and then move him up to AAA. Now it would be great if he forces that discussion of a big league call up near the end of the year, like Miz and Yoho did last year, but I would personally like to see him continue to hit well for a little at the current level and then talk about the next step up. But I can still dream of an IF that boasts him and Pratt some day in the near future.
  8. Wilken pops out - flies out to foul territory right field and a nice catch by the RF in the bullpen Warren gets a hit because he cannot be retired tonight (4-4, and a walk) Then Rodriguez flies out to RF Spain hits it deep but playable. Game. 7-4 loss. See you all tomorrow night.
  9. Bowman does his job. But Restituyo pops out. Adams with a nice ball but great catch by their CF. then Lara walk and Pratt pops out to foul territory and a great over the shoulder catch by their 1B. Nice defense by Montgomery, while Biloxi has been shaky on a few occasions. Need to rally in the 9th But first Bowman needs to get through bottom 8.
  10. Bowman in to try to keep it a 7-4 lead. C’mon Bo
  11. Bases clearing double for Montgomery. Ugh Crow pitches 69 pitches and got through 4.1 IP and gave up 2. Mendoza pitches 69 pitches and gets through 2 IP and gives up 5. Dang it
  12. Restituyo just lost the ball. It’s a “hit” for Ledbetter of the Biscuits, but simply trying to find it and he misplays it. Bases loaded and only 1 out instead of 2 out and only 2 on. Yikes
  13. Oh he’s very conscious. The balls he’s hitting are being knocked unconscious…..
  14. Tie game Wilken says I’m outta here. Another HR to left center. Alright Brock!
  15. Dang Crow just didnt have it for a 5th inning and Mendoza can’t get the last out. Ugh 4-3 deficit.
  16. Adams - yard again. 3-0 Shuckers although the Montgomery broadcast has it as the Chattanooga Lookouts vs Montgomery Biscuit - because ? lol
  17. They were too busy getting warmed up to have to pitch in the 9th inning 🙄
  18. In teh Complex is it known in advance if it will be 7 or 9 inning games? And can it be changed during the game? I wonder if this 12-2 lead after 4 will be called at 7 innings? Either way I will read about it tomorrow, and enjoy/savor the Shuckers 6th straight win. Gotta factor in the HRs by the three big young bats (Pratt, Wilken and Adams) in that write up tomorrow.
  19. Not the cleanest inning by Fitzpatrick as a few extra base hits, and 2 runs in but gets the last out. Shuckers win it 10-4. ACL Brewers still up huge, looks like a Quero homer, and Mercedes 3.1 IP, and 8 of those 10 outs were Ks. Quezada comes in to get 2 more Ks.
  20. Alastre ws pitching in the top of 9 for Wisconsin and he was relieved by Guilarte now. Things have really unraveled for the T-Rats the past few weeks.
  21. The road teams are trying to pile it on in the top of 9th. Beloit has added 3 runs to extend their lead over TRats 15-3. Biloxi scores one and now has the bases loaded, up 10-2
  22. Manfredi on, and he is sharp to start. 4 pitch strike out, and then another strike out. Let's get outta this inning.... and he Ks him. Strikes out the side. I mean when the team is going, it is so sweet to watch. Meanwhile AZ Brew Crew now up 11-0!! EDIT: I mean it's the second inning in ACL game, and the top 4 hitters of the Brew Crew have been up 3 times already, with Quero with 3 walks and Anderson 1-1 with 2 walks.
  23. Adams! Smoked it to deep left 105 EV, 411 feet. Now 9-1. The young hitters are doing their thing (Pratt, Wilken, Adams with HRs)
  24. Spain with a great catch in right. Then a ground out. And Stovall the #9 hitter gets on base again. But Petersen gets another grounder to end the 6th.
