I don't think it's that bad for Brady to swing at the first pitch. With the way the reliever is throwing you know he is going to throw it right down the middle to try and get that first strike. Brady nailed it too, just a good catch prevented any reward.
Actually it wasn't a homerun and I don't think any of strike 3 calls could be argued against. The only really notable ball called strike I think I saw was an inside pitch to Weeks, but that wasn't strike 3.
Doesn't the first reliever get the loss since it was Chris who scored? Either way it's still funny to lose the game without throwing a pitch. Edit: The angle they showed with the really high camera behind home plate clearly shows Stanton's foot going past the rubber
Bill Hall is the emergency CF. As much as I hate football analogies, you put in the backup QB in a blowout, not the emergency QB. Lee is not injured and did not have to sit out yesterday's workout like Clark.
You said it yourself that Chris stinks, so it is better off starting Clark while it is close. The game turned into a blowout, why not put in the 4th OF? I wouldn't rate his defense as bad as to blow a 7 run lead.
