  1. Ideas for our bench.... we should be able to get most of these guys cheap. Most are old Milwaukee retreads... PG Matthew Dellavadova Frank Mason SG Wes Matthews Pat Connaughton SF Demarre Carroll PF Christian Wood....why did we ever let him go John Hanson Jared Dudley C Aron Baynes Robin Lopez Thon Maker
  2. Middleton, Wilson and the 1st rounder for.... James Harden.
  3. The rest of this game is just a formality. No need to empty any more of the playbook on Toledo State or whoever this is. That is how you lose games. Play until the clock says zero.
  4. T Walker 3/$25 T LaStella 2/$14 C Santana 1/$7 plus club option 1/$4 Should solve most of what ails you and not cost too much. If Walker bounces back it could be a steal.
  5. Just going to reiterate this point...but this type of ideology leads to marginal players(usually). I'd rather they use their 1st round pick on someone with a higher upside who may take longer to reach it. The Spurs for example...seldom drafted for need and they drafted several studs late in the 1st round. Does anyone really think someone we pick at 24 is going to make a difference next season? Especially at Guard? My opinion, no. That is why I would pick Aleksej Pokusevski if he is still there.
  6. Potter and Reuvers are really good too. Matchup nightmare. Not to mention Aleem Ford who can bomb away at 6-8 as well. Davison, Trice and whoever else mostly just need to be competent to get the ball to those guys. There will be 3s, and there will be more 3s. There might even be a game or 2 where they miss those 3s and lose to somebody they should beat. That's the nature of the game these days. This team doesn't have THE player the quality of a Devin Harris or Alando or Kaminsky. They are pretty solid though. Look for Tyler Wahl to be a big part of the bench. He was very good as a true freshman last year.
  7. Nine days to draft day. What will they do? Trade it? Pick a shooter? Or the big 7' Serbian? My pick would be Aleksej Pokusevski. All sorts of potential and a back up plan if Giannis walks. Fix the shooting issues with Free Agents. Joe Harris or Dragic would be sweet, but I dont know if we can afford it. Maybe Justin Holliday.
  8. I am not an expert, but have lived in metro Atlanta for 35 years. Opening up on May 1 in most of the south, in my opinion, has created a herd immunity over time. We spiked some in the summer, but now it seems like our positive cases have dwindled and our death totals have dropped significantly.
  9. Beal I Smith for Bledsoe Wilson DDV 2020 1st (#24 from Pacers) 2021 1st I don't think adding Ish Smith makes the deal more likely for the Bucks. He's a nice player in his own right. Not an elite player, but a nice role player. Beal just fits so perfectly with the Bucks...but I have a really hard time seeing a trade work out between the two teams. MAYBE if they would try and work out a 3 team trade and be willing to part with Middleton. Maybe the Sixers are willing to trade for Midds, they send picks and players to the Wizards, the Bucks send DDV, their 1st(they don't own their 2021 1st)...then I guess maybe they could work something out. I almost wonder if the Bucks are better off signing whoever they can for the MLE as a FA which should be for ~4/40...a more enticing offer this year, provided you add an opt-out pretty early on...you might get a player who'd normally get much more, but with teams conserving cap space trying to go after Giannis next year, it'd be a one-year rental. But then waiting on any major trades unless you can convince a team like Sac to trade you Buddy for whatever few assets you have...or if you can really hit the HR and get Beal somehow. I just don't think it's likely. John Wall's probably more realistic than Beal...and I know that idea would go over about as well as a far in an elevator on this board. _______________________________________________ I believe they do own the rights to their 2021 1st pick https://www.prosportstransactions.com/basketball/DraftTrades/Future/Bucks.htm I think the trade I proposed is fair, if they don't like it then move on to another.
  10. I think this undervalues Beal by a lot. Beal I Smith for Bledsoe Wilson DDV 2020 1st (#24 from Pacers) 2021 1st
  11. Counsell has said maybe Suter will start a bullpen game. What would you do? Maybe... 1 Suter 2 Suter 3 Suter 4 Williams 5 Williams 6 Yardley 7 Knebel 8 Knebel/ Hader 9 Hader
  12. They have two 6 1 cornerbacks this cycle. If they can run and really play corner we are better matched for the taller wide receivers of Ohio State.
  13. Rucci to make his decision this Tuesday at 6:00. Right now the experts are leaning toward a Wisconsin commit. That would be a huge get for Bucky. In two years we would have a complete four star offensive line with two five star tackles.
  14. New window for Juniors opens September 1.
  15. I think you are right. But they are not striking against their employers. Can anyone answer who they are striking against? I am guessing the criminal justice system?
  16. When does a little bit of post up offence translate to whole scale changes. I am not sure you understand that Giannis shoots 63,0% when shooting any shot other than a three point shot. Brooks shoots 54.9% without threes added in. 10 Giannis post ups equals 12.6 points per game. 10 Brooks post ups equals 10.9 points per game. Add in all of the better looks you will get when these two kick the ball out to the three point line. Our good three point shooters will look a lot better. Take those 20 possessions and shot threes. As a team we shoot 35.5 percent. You will get 21.3 points. 23.5 is greater than 21.3. I will take those 2.2 points per game any day. Add in the better shots from three you will get from kickouts and I am sure you will agree it is a better way to maximize possessions.
  17. Who says they are rich kids. And why is it that money should go to revenue producers. This is suppose to be college, not Wall Street......and I love Wall Street.
  18. I do not like the Bucks stand around then shoot a three offence. They need to try a little bit of post up offence. They have the tools, I guess they just need better strategy. That is on Bud.
  19. I'm fully aware of how the NBA has evolved...and I'm not suggesting we're the Warriors with their Hampton's lineup. What I AM saying is we have ENOUGH. When you look at the length we have, the size, everything we have and then you look at Bledsoe who was our 7th worst 3 point shooter at ~.345 pct including two of the better 3 point shooters in the league(and a 3 point specialist in Korver) THAT'S not the problem. We have guys who can knock down the open shot and I think DiVincenzo and Connaughton are both capable shooters. But when you have ONE guy you can rely on to break the defense down...and really only one guy, your offense becomes predictable. If you have another facilitator....say just a Chris Paul at this stage(you're ignoring the salary). Even as he's lost a step, I think he'd do a much better job of running the offense and getting some guys some easier baskets. So I'm not saying we're a great 3 point shooting team. I'm saying given all the things we can do well, how incredible we are at protecting the rim, how many points in transition and in the paint we get, our team defense, our shooting is not the problem. Game 1 I believe the problem was A-we just couldn't get out and run because we weren't getting stops on D and then...as I said, our offense becomes stagnant and we don't have anyone who can get guys easier baskets. Moving forward, I'd like to see the Bucks start some of their sets with guys in the post. Brook OR Robin Lopez can both score with their back to the basket. It's one of Middleton's strengths. And it's more likely to yield some easier shots than just Giannis coming downhill with 3 guys waiting for him to block off whichever way he tries to go with the Euro step. Both points in bold are astute. Both DD and PC need to play more. They are both extremely athletic, play great defense, are team oriented, can make plays on their own, and can shot when they are open. One of the two should be on the court almost all of the time. We have at least four good post players. The Lopez brothers are easy to see. They can get quality inside shots almost anytime they want. Middleton is the classic turn around jump shooter ala Bobby Dandridge. He can get a high percentage shot better than half the time he posts up. The fourth post player we hardly ever use is Giannis, He does not need to get up a head of steam to dominate over other players. Posting these four in different sets and playing a little inside out basketball will make the three point shooters look a lot better. Last point about posting up... it will cause other teams to foul. Last games we shot 16 free throws, Orlando shot 32.

  22. [sarcasm]Keep thinking positive![/sarcasm]
  23. Three hour NBA games are hard to watch. I think I will tape and watch delated so I can run through the commercials and other NBA nonsense..
  24. Jerry Cross to PSU. It is hard to loss the in state stars.
  25. Jerry Cross 6' 6" WR out of Milwaukee is down to Penn State and Wisconsin in the 2022 class. It would be a great get at WR or maybe he fills out and becomes a hybrid TE/WR. Having that kind of height is hard to beat.
