  1. Suarez is 33 years old, strikes out at least 3 time as many times as he walks, and is a free agent at the end of the year. He sounds like the Gorman Thomas (who I liked as a Brewer) of third base. I would think if Arizona is a seller he is available for a lot less than Peralta. Maybe a couple for a couple of low-level prospects. Maybe DiTuri and Wande Torres?

  3. On June 7 you said in a post in this thread that Luke Stevenson may be an option at 20? Have you read or seen something that would change your mind?
  4. Here is a scouting report: (MLB.com) Stevenson could have signed for top-five-rounds money as a North Carolina high schooler in 2023. He opted instead to stay local and play for the Tar Heels, and now he enters 2025 as the best all-around catcher and top college sophomore in the Draft. He claimed North Carolina's starting job as a freshman, slammed 14 homers last spring and played with the U.S. collegiate national team during the summer. A physical left-handed hitter, Stevenson has a propensity for hitting balls hard and launching them in the air. His power plays from left-center to the right-field foul pole and could translate into 25 homers per season. He has a reasonably disciplined approach but struggles to make contact against breaking balls and changeups. While Stevenson is a well-below-average runner, he has significantly improved his conditioning since high school. He has really cleaned up his receiving and become a solid defender behind the plate. His arm stands out both for pure strength and the accuracy of his throws.
  5. If Luke Stevenson is there at #20, jump on him. You can never have enough catchers, especially catchers that swing from the left side.
  6. Bo Bichette has been brought up in national rumors. https://reviewingthebrew.com/early-brewers-2025-trade-deadline-predictions-01jxb3venwne Good 3B with 1/2 year left at 8.5 million. Civale plus a couple prospects should get it done. Do it now and they can flip Civale. Maybe Civale, Wichrowski, and Lara?

  8. Just make it happen. With Chad Patrick, Tobias and Henderson showing they can handle MLB pitching, we have more than enough (knock on wood) prospects at SP (CRJ looks close also). Miz, Lara and Wilken would be my offer.
  9. Yelich is untradeable and will have to be a primary DH into the 2028 season. William will have to convert to 1B if he cannot catch until then. My gut says he can stick at catching for another 6-7 years. Give him a contract that long and I am ok since Yelich will be gone by the last three years of the contract.
  10. I added PROSPECTS 1500 Brewers top 50 and the lower level pitching looks a little better. Here is what it looks like. DOM AZ A A+ AA AAA MLB C Wood Quero 1B Bitonti Burke Black 2B DITuri Baez Areinamo SS Quintana Alastre Made Guilarte Pratt 3B Pena Adams Wilkens Boeve Durbin LF Antunez Ibarquen Y Rodriquez CF Fenelon Anderson Payne Lara Collins RF B Hall E Brown Miller B O'Rae Clarke B E Garcia SP Meccage Cortez Letson Wichroski Misiorowski SP M Rodriquez Ye Rodriquez Crow Henderson SP Low Aquino Rudy C Rodriquez SP T Smith Galindez Birchard Woesner SP CL Yoho RP Hunt RP RP IR Knoth Gasser
  11. I did a quick spreadsheet of where our top 30 on MLB.COM would end up after spring training. It looks like we are very solid for the next three or four years, but we could use some more depth at pitcher in our lower levels. Any thoughts? 12. I will give it a shot...again pretty impressive. 3B Boeve C Quero RF Black DH Bauer 1B Martinez CF Collins LF Hinklen 2B Delgado SS Zamora
  13. 1 Woodruff 2 Henderson 3 Misioroski 4 Patrick 5 Rodriquez Pretty impressive set of five? Then you have Yoho in the ninth! Anyone want to put out our batters?
  14. And there is always Boeve if all else fails.
  15. Cots has Alexander listed as having one option left. Don''t know if that is accurate.
  16. Capra is the only 3B option with zero options left if that makes a difference to anyone. Being frugal and with Capra hitting for power this spring, I think they give him first shot.
  17. A .240 hitter who will hit 20 HRs a year and make 44 million over the next 3 years? If he is super great on the defensive side, maybe. There is a good reason they are selling, beware. I would not give up too much! I could see them giving up Hoskins, at least the money is pretty equal.
  18. It looks like Jose is the best external option as far as talent and cost for our infield. In another post (Under the Radar...) a number of posters agreed with this evaluation. It is time to get it done.
  19. MLB.com has just put out its top 100 prospects Top Baseball Draft Prospects . With the Brewers picking at 20, 32, 33, 60, and 95 who do you like as possibilities? I believe this year should be heavier on college pitchers as this seems to be a position we are thinner at than most others. Here are some possibilities. 20. (19) Tre Phillips OF/3B/1B Georgia (21) Trent Carraway 3B OSU (24) Dean Curley SS Tennessee 32 (26) Kyson Witherspoon RHP Oklahoma (38) Chase Shores RHP LSU 33 (43) AJ Russell RHP Tennessee (46) Matt Scott Stanford 60 (63) James Ellwanger RHP Dallas Babtist (64) Gabe Davis RHP Oklahoma State 68 (63) James Ellwanger RHP Dallas Babtist (64) Gabe Davis RHP Oklahoma State 95 (90) Cam Leiter RHP Florida States (93) Landon Beidelschies LHP Arkansas All of these pitchers are at least 6' 3" and at least 200 lbs. There is a good chance that three out of the six will make it to AAA within two years. Any thoughts?
  20. I would do Frelick for Lowe with TB giving us $500,000 to pay next years option.
  21. Both options were from the team side. $500000 to get out of the contract in 26.
  22. Who then? Someone has to come off the 40 MR. Maybe Oliver Dunn and a young SS prospect not named Made or Pratt. Di Turi, O'Rae, or Baez? I think they would want more.
  23. What about a 35 y/o 2nd baseman/shortstop that can hit for average with almost no power? Is he an upgrade over Durbin or our other utility options? He had a 3.1 WAR last year in almost 300 PA. Any takers?
  24. Maybe late in the year as a reliever. I just don't see him as a starter until 2026 if at all.
