  1. Maybe we should keep him around instead of sending him to rookie ball. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  2. Get his finger fixed so he stops bleeding on his pants when he's trying to pitch.
  3. Rickie should have swung. It was too close to take. This is ridiculous, but at least we led for a little while.
  4. Nothing like taking pitches that are entirely too good to take in those situations, fellas.
  5. So what's Winkles' ERA at now? I'm scared to look.
  6. I can't believe that I'm sitting here wondering why we traded Obermueller.
  7. This is a joke. But, hey, leave Winkles-whatshisname out there. Freaking joke.
  8. Because Ned Yost finds trouble when he least expects it. David Eckstein heart and souls that one into center field to bring home a run. Thank goodness Yadier Molina was on third, because only a Molina fails to score on Brady Clark. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  9. This is a pretty pathetic way to respond to unexpected (but welcome!) run support. JDLR needs to learn how to pitch from ahead in the count consistently. He has the killer instinct of a poodle.
  10. I'm also not digging the offense, by the way. Not a good start, considering that Denny Hocking could probably still light this clown up.
  11. I'm digging the threads. I'm not digging the score. But I'm not down yet. Until we're 20 under .500, I probably won't get too down.
  12. I thought Roemer was fantastic against Beach. Certainly, he met the expectations I had for him after what I had heard about him. I'm looking forward to the regionals this weekend. Besides ESPNU and CSTV, is there any other TV coverage that you all are aware of?
  13. Someday, Rick Anderson will learn to wake Gardenhire up before the inning gets away from them. It's been a great weekend for Minnesota, but that inning is a capsule of the season for this team so far.
  14. Ridiculous. Way to make two crappy Twins pitchers look fantastic, guys. And, yes, Boof Bonser sucks. He's going to get torched very soon.
  15. Punkzynski should just quit baseball and go to the WWE where he can behave like an over-roided freak and get away with it.* (* Just for the record, I like wrestling. And AJ would be a great heel. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif )
  16. So that underscores the need to take advantage of a night where your starter goes seven and allows two runs. Instead, Yost get greedy because he has apparently forgotten that he has more people in the bullpen than he has in the stands for some of those early April games. Face it: Ned's an idiot. And the sooner someone important realizes it, the sooner that this team might be better than the middle of the pack in the Central. I thought we had 22 pitchers on the roster so he wouldn't have to stretch out his starters, not so he could do it anyway because his gut tells him to.
  17. Well, close enough. Thank goodness the hockey game is on.
  18. Um... Do these dopes in the broadcast booth realize that a three-run home run doesn't do us a lot of good right now? We're better off stringing together a few doubles. Not that it matters, since Jenkins is about to golf at strike three anyway.
  19. Dude...we have like 22 pitchers. Do we really need to save one for tomorrow? If that's the case, why are a half-dozen of those guys on the team?
  20. Well, if we can't score some runs tomorrow night, I don't know what to tell you. I don't know that I'd trust Baker to be able to consistently get UW-Milwaukee hitters out. He's not as much of a headcase as Lohse is, but he's very inconsistent. As for giving up a booming grand slam to Tony Batista, who is only getting at-bats right now because he makes $1.25 million and is too expensive to bench, I don't know what to say. The guy hasn't hit anything lately, and Capellan threw him a pitch that Trowekamp could have hit out of there. On the bright side of that, at least now maybe Daron and Bill will stop acting like Capellan's on the fast track to the All-Star Game in Pittsburgh.
  21. I don't care what it is. You have to practically try to make Gardenhire look good. Jerry Manuel was really good at it. It's nights like this that convince me that this team is going nowhere with that guy in the dugout.
  22. Seriously, could we get a manager? This inning never should have happened, except that we have no bench and Ned insists on putting an obviously gassed starter back out there for more. Nothing like getting outmanaged by an idiot, Ned. Nice work. I didn't think it was possible, since not even Kansas City gets outmanaged by Gardenhire.
