  1. Could a real baserunner have scored on Clark's hit? (Yes, I'm asking now. Sorry. I couldn't type fast enough to get a "PINCH RUN FOR MILLER NOW!!" post done before Clark got a hit. Oh, well. The PR would have been thrown out anyway.)
  2. Is anyone watching? Was Jenks' HR a cheapie, or a no-doubter like that shot he hit in ATL on Sunday?
  3. This is ridic... Oh, screw it. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
  4. Cristian Guzman makes the signing of Jeffrey Hammonds look genius.
  5. Hey, look. A home run. Stunning, really.
  6. Not having the ability to watch the game, I'm guessing Clark had to wait to make sure it got in the outfield so he didn't get thrown out at third like he has about 22 times this season. Once he did that, it was too late to try to score. Anybody want to answer why Overbay, Lee, and Jenkins all struck out? Oh, yeah. I think I know that one.
  7. Thanks, Jenks. I knew I could count on you. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/sick.gif
  8. Kraft-- I'm following online, as usual. Double ugh.
  9. Hopefully, we've seen the last of that Brady Clark slump.
  10. 4-3 road trip. What a way to hit the break (so much better than last year).
  11. If Kolb's a gas can, Bottalico's a stick of dynamite with a lit fuse.
  12. JENKS!!! Way to greet Gas Can Kolb! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  13. Rich might not be a great coach, but he's no Dale Sveum. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
  14. Where's all this rain? We sure could use that kind of break. Oh, there it is... http://radar.weather.gov/radar/images/DS.p19r0/SI.kffc/latest.gif
  15. Never said I had all the answers. But this idea seems more plausible than the idea of sending out a pitcher that you know sucks so you can get him some work.
  16. My $.02 Everyone can say that JDLR or some other gas can from that pen should have pitched, but those same people would have jumped all over Ned had one of the known gas cans gone out and pitched like crap and put the win in peril. With the All-Star break coming, it was imperative that Ned use the chance to get Wise and Bow some work. Wise hadn't pitched since Wednesday and Bow since Tuesday. You can't just assume that you'll have a chance to use them on Sunday, because there could very well not be a game. Maybe Ned manages differently if there wasn't a hurricane coming. But there is. And...oh, by the way...WE WON. For how crappy this team has been playing, they're 3-3 on a very tough road trip.
  17. Ugh. Now they'll have to deal Bottalico for a PTBNL, and they'll have to pay his salary to boot. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif (Look at it this way. They split against a pretty good team on the road. If they take one in Atlanta, it'll be a 3-4 road trip, and that's not that bad, considering the opposition and this team's road record.)
  18. The best way to showcase Bottalico for a trade is to leave him in the bullpen to show off his sunflower-spitting skills. Someday, Ned will learn that.
  19. I don't get it. I know McKeon is old school, but how can you ignore a pitch count on a guy that's had so many injury issues already?
  20. 4 IP, 5 BB, 9 K, over 90 pitches Just another day at the office for A.J. Burnett.
  21. Umpire: Mr. Burnett, there's no way you're walking Bill Hall without having him swing the bat at least once. Keep trying. (after three more balls...) Umpire: That's it. You had your chances. Bill, take your base. Remember this moment. Knowing you, it probably won't happen again.
  22. And after tonight, he'll be at .333 for the month with a .333 OBP and a .417 SLG.
