  1. Planning ahead (for a change). Looking for two for that afternoon. Thanks!
  2. Im starting to lean that way, too. Number one the guy has to be able to hit...but being at least "league average" in the field isn't too much to ask.
  3. I'd think security would deal with them. They use to be pretty good about laying down the law.
  4. I wish they would just give Edmonds away now and be done with it.
  5. Logan in with the optimism. If that would happen, I'm buying lottery tickets.
  6. Why is Flynn such a poor fit for the triangle?
  7. Al Jefferson to the Jazz, too. I wonder if they have a deal for Sessions?
  8. I'd rather they run this Yankee stuff then "The Brett Farve Watch-2010."
  9. Luke to the T-wolves is what the Minnesota stations are saying today.
  10. I heard a funny line this AM, that George was getting ready to fire Billy Martin from heaven. My 43rd birthday was on Monday...so much of my baseball "youth" was spent in the Billy/George heyday. I hated the Yankees, but always kept up on what they were doing.
  11. Not a Yankee fan either, but I'm not going to speak ill of the dead. From what I hear, he did a lot for people an organizations in Tampa.
  12. I'm not really a soccer fan (or Futball), but I did enjoy the level of athlete on display, the pageantry and the event. To me, it was kind of like Winter Olympic Hockey. I'll be ready for 2014. What does Brazil do to cheer on the players? Bang gongs I hope!
  13. I'm with Hawing on that one. The Twins fans that seem to travel to MP are a younger group. Tending to be a bit less...reserved. My experiences @ Metrodome and Target Field are nothing like what we tend to see @ MP.
  14. Agreed with the above. I see DM hiring one more manager (at least). Now, if Macha goes, I'd love to see a bit different direction then a guy on his 3rd or 4th team. I understand why the organization went with Ken, but going younger and new would make some sense (to me).
  15. Diener does have some 3 point range. Having a back-up point that can hold the fort here and there (IMO) is critical for 2010-11. Jennings plays as such an intense level, that you could see him miss some time/games. If a deal could be made, I'd consider moving Ersan (and I really like him) or a future pick for "that guy." I wonder if DJ Augustin could fit that?
  16. I suppose this gives the Bucks a legit shot at the #3 seed.
  17. That is a good way to put it if the application is improving for 2011 and beyond. Nothing wrong with moving what you can move that helps a contender this year and gives the 'Crew flexibilty for next year. As pointed out in the thread, there are pitiching prospects coming, but not really for next year and we all know you can't have enought. Sadly, I suspect next year will look much like this year in the fact that DM or whomever will have to resort in sigining a volume of arms and hope a few stick...I'd almost rather punt on 2011 too and target resources for 2012.
  18. We do not need AI. Ick. He should explore europe or Turkey. In Gooden's defense, he has not been asked to defend much. I suspect he will a) buy-in and b) be OK with other guys that defend around him. If not, everyone knows that Scott will not play him.
  19. Some of these other guys that have been mentioned might not have asked for the 1-day retire thing. Not like Nilsson left on good terms and most of these other players had some time in away from the 'Crew. Geoff is closer to a "lifer" then Vaughn; et al.
  20. I think he can in certain spots, but you are correct that he isnt going to hold down the #3 for 40 min a game. I have a feel that we might be heavy at that #4 spot, but it seems that Skiles and Hammond don't worry as much about that stuff.
  21. Is there anything to the urban legend that Verizon has so much better service in the Midwest?
  22. Count me in on not understanding why a 15-day trip to the DL isn't almost automatic with this one.
