    Ned used Brooks pretty well from what I recall. I saw a game where he was brought in to pitch to Griffey and K'd him. All 6,500 people @ Miller Park went nuts.

    I suggested this in the in-game chat, but if opposing teams have an issue with the shirts being untucked...then for a bit I'd like to see the players hike their pants up really, really high. Like under the armpits. Run off the field like that and revel in the reaction.

    I don't know how relevant that is, but I trust this more mature group of players to handle this better than the group the last couple years would have. The point I was trying to make (and maybe failed at) is that Yost seemed to struggle more with adjustments with line-ups and roles, especially with teams that carried expectations. Ken via his past experiences seems to have demonstrated more success here. Obviously we can't know how both would handle the 2009 team. I'm not sure a great amount of maturity is present over last year's club, but I can't guarantee that is the case.

    Does the 'Crew end up having to platoon (or whatever ken wants to call it) at both 2nd and 3rd with Rickie down? I trust Macha to deal with this better then Ned would have.

    I really hope (obviously) that the 'crew might sweep this series. The 3 wins would be nice, but better would be the Cards understanding that they are not as good as Milwaukee.

    End makes a good point. Brad has to find a place to get At-Bats. I wouldn't pretend to know AAA baseball enough to guess where that would be. Call the batphone for Mass Hass.

    Give DM credit, it appears the focus it trying to win in 09.

    I'd assume the regular season schedule would have to be shortened in order to account for another round of playoffs. I'd suspect most teams would oppose that. However, if TV really wanted that extra round (and I wonder if they do) you could see it become viable.

    I agree with Augie. It is a trap to some extent. Your numbers don't go up unless you get a chance for them to go up. A little playing time seems to help guys. Now, it's just May, so I'd suspect as we get into the summer; a few more ab's going the way of the reserves.

    I watched the game last night with a couple of Cubs fans. That did make it a bit more fun. Upon the final out, I untucked my shirt. They were not amused. I asked if "it was gonna happen this year?" That question remained unanswered.

    I saw it as well. Not bad. I'm a pretty big Trek fan (comes with being a geek; it's required in are manual), as long as you can deal with an "alternate history" the movie is enjoyable. What stood out to me is the pace is very aggressive. As mentioned, the casting is spot on.
