    While I think it's fair to say this team isn't as good as 2008, but hard to blame DM for Rickie getting hurt and JJ not being able to hit. Hart isn't as suprising; that I agree with. I don't think it would be fair to perdict Hall being this bad. Not sure what other pitching options really were available. Hoffman has been some help, as well as Coffy. DM has to get some credit for that.

    I'd assume Looper and Hoffman are gone. I'd think JJ gets flipped. Not as sure about Hart. I'm just guessing (obviously) but I'll assume that Yo, Prince, Ryan and Casey will be here in 2010. Soup will likely be back (sorry) and I'd think Bush would still be around...then go from there? An aside, I am for any 2009 move that helps set the stage for 2010. Cliff Lee could be a start to that.

    If moving Gillespie really comes back to haunt the 'Crew I'd be stunned. Either he would perform way above expectations or something really bad happened to our current OF.

    Good point. I don't see as much up-side in Sessions as some, but he certainly has move value then anyone on this team from Flint. Boozer would make this team very interesting...

    But...the pither is responsible for what he throws. Unless Ken is shouting to throw a change...that is the pitcher's call.

    I like the inter-league option, but don't hate this all-star gimmick that much. Always having a DH is an excellent idea. Now that the rosters are 33(?) I don't think fans voting for 8 players really hurts the game much. While some players may not care about the game, I suspect since baseball is a pretty individual activity (and the attention that comes with it) players "try" when it's their turn. Just would seem to be the nature of athletes at this level.

    I have mentioned this before, but my hope is that I'll take my yet unborn grandkids to MP and they will get to see bronze status of Prince and Ryan.

    Actually...I agree with Joey. Ned really did a nice job in Milwaukee cira, 2003-2006. Its when expectations grew the "crazy" set in.

    I would support moves that allowed a "re-load" for the 2010 and 2011 season. Nothing more long-term at this point. Just my 2-cents.

    Glad that Rivera is getting a turn, but didn't think he would catch Manny. I assumed Kendall would as Manny has struggled. Nice to see Frank get a few AB's, too.

    Boy...if that is true (3-5 prospects) sure doesn't seem to be worth it. Maybe if they would take Hall and Dan Gadzuric.

    I thought Manny's issue was being able to throw out of the stretch? Wasn't the battle that he didn't like the slide-step? While I know he can't wind up with guys on...at this point I'd hope that after a toss or two over to 1st base; just work the plate.

    Boy, does the team have Manny by the short hairs, or is it the other way around? I'm not sure what direction DM goes if Manny isn't adequate.
