  1. Congrats as well. I suspect it will be a great ride.
  2. Some coaches believe in a 'team approach' to pitching, hitting or what have you. Some really individualize concepts for their specific athletes. I wonder what philosophy Billy takes?
  3. I was 8 in '76. I think I remember that Monday Night Game, but I know I saw him throw in the all-star game. Sad day. When you read about Fidrych, what comes to mind for me is here is a top-notch athlete that lost his career and still made a pretty nice life for himself.
  4. DFA YO! Prince, eat a burger!!11!!!!!
  5. I agree with End; the "what number are they in the rotation" drive me nuts. Unless the #5 gets skipped (Ned didn't, some managers do), it's so irrelevant.
  6. I sort of care about the Bucks, just not now. The days of the Wisconsin Sports Network are fondly remembered.
  7. I'll go out on a limb and say his next start might be sort of big for his rotation status.
  8. I'd say adequate is a good description. He has lots of time to grow in the position. I wasn't much of a Powell fan out of the gate.
  9. I have a $10 per game wager with a Cub "friend" of mine. He is a good guy, save the brain damage. +$10 to Dave...
  10. Blake Griffin would be nice.
  11. 3 teams could jump over you, but the most you can slide is 3. That's how I understand it.
  12. Regarding Macha, I'm just hoping he doesn't come off as such a jerk to reporters and (to some extent) the fan base. I don't thing Ned understood how much that hurt him by the end of last year (perception as being a defensive dip-wad).
  13. Life does change, but mostly for the better. Now the bad can get stupid-bad, but its been a pretty fun trip thus far.
  14. I have a freshly minted 8 yr old little girl. Abby is great. That said sometimes she is the herald of the apocalypse. What I have learned over the years with her is to not try to win most or really hardly any of the battles. Only a few things to I put my foot down on. Other then that, if she wants to play "Pretty, Pretty Princess" and mock me, or insists that I watch the same episode of "Suite Life of Zack and Cody" for the 54th time; I'm in. I figure soon enough she will be gone. I leave the fights to her and her mom.
  15. I like those Twins uniforms. So...can I be first and say that the 'Crew could upgrade by getting "Milwaukee" on their road gear? At least an alternate?
  16. It would be very amusing if Tony would decide to run the "blocker-mover."
  17. ...and your HITLER if u don't agreE!!!!
  18. Cappy is the ACE of the staff...
  19. If M St beats Louisville; that will be pretty funny. Going to destroy my bracket, but still...
  20. Go Pointers! I saw Jordan play FB and hoops @ Auburndale. Obviously a heck of an athlete.
  21. I had Pitt, but it was a good game. Villanova hit FT's and Pitt didn't.
  22. I really, really hope Brad is the LHPH as well gets a weekly start (or so). Keeping Lamb with Duffy seems to make sense. If Gwynn cleared waivers, would he agree to a minor league placement? Is that where the 72-hour rule comes in?
  23. ...and everyone knows that strikeouts don't matter...duh!
  24. I like that idea. Also points out the success of the 1981 team.
