Are you saying chatwood has been an excellent investment or the defense? Chatwood has been bad. Mid 4s era. Hasn't made it past 5.1 innings since April and only has one start over 6 on the season. What about that is excellent Chatwood has 8.1 BB/9 and an xFIP of 5.26. He has actually been quite fortunate on the year. Lester has been pretty bad as well, worst peripherals of any full season in his career yet his best ERA ever. The Cub's defense and/or luck has played a huge role in their pitching this season. Like reading that!
Cubs number two. I'm shocked we are still in first. Cubs seem to be good at everything. Hugely up in run differential. Maybe bullpen? That change soon I'm sure as we get to the trade deadline.
You haven't been paying attention then. The break on fly balls Cain gets is even better than Broxton who might be a tad faster. The only ball I'm not 100% sure Cain gets is the HR robbing catch yesterday against the Twins. They are both elite defensive outfielders. They both have a knack for catching balls on the run that off the bat look like sure base hits. I think I pay attention quite well. But I didn't take into account jumps. Brox is faster and taller but I believe it that Cain has better jumps.
The stuff the Brewers do is pretty stupid. The show me a little love, the gauntlet, the bullpen hands over head clapping and jumping around. Yeah you're right. But the heart shape with hands is the gold medal of stupid.
Is making the heart shape with their hands the braves version of team building, like Brewers/Cain show me a little love? If so that's really stupid. It's for teens and EDM shows.
