  1. And it's the second time we've had a long stretch of extended futility. Not sure what's going on. No fun.
  2. I tend to agree but we don't have much options. Dubon will not be better despite his recent hot streak. But boy have his ABs been terrible.
  3. Count me as another voting for Phillips.
  4. He's not wearing a Cardinals jersey anymore so he'll strike out every at bat these two games. Haha the magic is gone.
  5. Oh boy, forgot Jon Jay signed with Royal's. Here comes some doubles and bunt singles.
  6. Was just thinking about that when I saw that Knebel is looking like he'll be back sooner than expected. So many options! I really think you have to go with talent at this point. Jettison Drake, insert Knebel. Nelson hopefully back in a month and a half or so. Chase, Davies, Nelson, Chacin and Junior? BP Knebel, hader, Barnes, jeffress, suter, Albers, taylor will, Jennings/boone with wood, Peralta and burnes in AAA??? Ridiculous. Up to counsell and stearns to manage that depth appropriately
  7. That is outrageous. Our world is a computer simulation. Only explanation.
  8. Interesting question, here is the correlation from last year, runs scored vs pitches seen per PA. Somewhat of an uptick but not too dramatic. The team with the most runs scored (HOU) had the second fewest pitches/PA, but the team with the second most runs scored (NYY) saw the second most pitches/PA. Thanks for the reply. Is that starters and relievers or just relievers. I can see benefits of taking pitches vs starters. Run up pitch count, get feel for pitcher, etc. But with a reliever, neither of those apply and may want to hack away if you see a fastball down the middle.
  9. But seriously, when is the Brewers offense going to wake up? Pretty frustrating.
  10. Am I wrong that I'd like to see less taking of pitches against relievers by the Brewers? Or is seeing a lot of pitches always a good thing?
  11. Castillo is nasty. Hopefully we can get to Reds awful bullpen.
  12. I know we've seen plenty of keon in MLB but when he's rightr he can really rake. What we could harness it somehow.
  13. I may be wrong but I also believe the velocity didn't come until May or so last year.
  14. No. I'm worried long term. Without his velocity hard to see his continuing to be solid pitcher.
  15. Pitch one to Gonzalez from Chase has been called a strike for Harvey. BS.
