  1. Many here know I was a long time season ticket holder and last year gave them up mainly because I moved much further away from the stadium. I was shocked when no one from the management ever contacted me to ask why I was giving up my seats after so many years...and even more so when the new pricing came out. My seats would have gone from $700 a year to $1000 a year, and a long time season ticket holding retired couple close by went from $700 a year to $1800 EACH. From what I've heard many of the season ticket holders have passed on renewing.
  2. I just find it funny how many 'basher' there are. 'This is baseball, let's get serious' type attitude. After 7 years as a season ticket holder in Nashville I've seen so many things going on that had me laughing so hard I almost passed out. Back when he played, get Tim Dillard rolling and watch out..!! Everything and anything was fair game. Remember the line from Bull Durham.? " Baseball is a game, and games are supposed to be fun..!!...now let's go have some fun damn it" And those that choose to beat up on Hank.. Did you ever think that they just might be playing so well because they are having fun and feeling loose..?
  3. Shocked he cleared waivers. No one wanted him...? No one...? Really..?
  4. I'm interested to see what happens after tonights game with him..? Call him up, Waivers, Out right release..? What do you do..?
  5. I wish them a lot of luck. I will most likely be giving up my season tickets next year after 7 years for a few reasons. But while the area they are talking about is a growing part of town with many great restaurants, the one thing I'm sure it's lacking is parking. It will really stink if you end up paying more for parking then you do for your ticket.
  6. Whats up with the Bravard feed..? Not updating anything. Still showing middle of the 1st
  7. I'm sure it's part of it, but in years past I've missed few games and you just get to know them by talking with them. Just being a fan and not asking for anything helps I'm sure. Nashville's bullpen it right next the seats...so often I'll go sit with them and talk. It's a hoot just to listen to Tim Dillard when he gets rolling. Rob Wooten and I spent one night talking about our favorite Everybody Loves Raymond episodes just before he was called up. Mark Rogers and I are both from the same small town in Maine, so I've met his family and often will spend a day with them when I fly home to see my mom.
  8. You are who I had in mind in the OP LoL.... OK. I've missed a lot of games this year as I've had other things going on. Never the less it's still been a fun year and I'm beyond happy for the guys that have been called up. All are great guys and always a pleasure when I get to talk with them before each game.
  9. So who is our loyal Nashville reporter..? I've been a season ticket holder for 6 years now.
  10. I'd wager you'll see Mark Rogers in Nashville by the end of this week when they start the next home stand. Could be an interesting match up... Mark Rogers -v- Manny Ramirez. I'll be there for sure
  11. I was told 90 today by the guys doing pitch count in the stands....92 yesterday
  12. I just spent the last two games watching Francisco Rodriguez pitch the 8th innings in Nashville. His speed is not it what it once was, but today he did only face 4 batters. Walked one, struck out the next three on twenty pitches total. Yesterday faced 5, gave up 1 hit, 1 walk and threw 15 pitches. Doug Melvin was in attendance to watch, but I did not see him in the stands today. Maybe it was the 11am start, cloudless sky... and 6000 screaming kids. I guess we'll see what the choice is by thursday.
  13. He was recalled from his rehab assignment today, but remains on the DL. So I'm assuming that's what happens now. From what I've read the 'clock' stops.. it is not reset. He should have about 15 days left.
  14. As said above the stadium is nothing special. It's 35+ years old and has never really been renovated. As for pre game food.. there is nothing around the stadium. So your best bet is to go downtown and find something. As for parking I use the Vanderbilt lot across the street. You have to pay I think its $6.00 to park no matter where you park..so I use that lot for ease of access when it's time to leave. I go out the back gate and as a 7 years season ticket holder I know the back streets to avoid traffic. The guitar scoreboard is unique, but it has not been working right the last few games I've been to. As for food inside the stadium.. typical ballpark affair. Again, nothing special.
  15. So what is the latest..? I've not seen anything for a week plus.. Where is he going..?
  16. Why.. because that is the business side of professional baseball. During my 7 years as a season ticket holder in Nashville I've seen some really good talent come through that never got the call up. Sean is a GREAT guy..!! We talk before every game and we have a pre-game fist pump and yea, I'd love to see him up.
  17. Of course the current weather report for Thursday is heavy rain... UGH..!!!
  18. I'm looking forward to Thursday might. It's always nice to see the guys back. Donovan, Sean and Calib all had great springs and turned some real heads and I'm so proud of them. The Minors are fun for season ticket holders. Over time you get to know the guys on a more personal level. I look at the current Brewers roster and 80% of the team I know from Nashville and a few I'm still in touch with. I remember sitting down near the bullpen talking with John Axford for many games before his call up. I'm also guessing Cory Heart, Mark Rogers and Taylor Green will make a brief stops sometime in April.
  19. After Carlos Gomez scored on Nyjer Morgan's single to move them on the NLCS in 2011. As a season ticket holder in Nashville I have become friends with a few of the guys and still have stayed in touch with a few after their call ups. Anyway, after GoMo scored and all the craziness broke out I sent a text up telling one how happy my girlfriend and I were for them. Not expecting to get an answer we were both shocked and beyond happy when about 10 mins later and with all the craziness still going on at Miller Park we got an answer back. It made us feel we were right there with them.
  20. Maybe one year I'll make it down there...
  21. I'm hoping Taylor shows his stuff up there like he has here with the Sounds. He's been solid on the field and at the plate here in Nashville much of the last two years..plus he's a super nice guy to talk with.
  22. I'm just so thrilled for Mark. It was so much fun to watch him grow his confidence in his pitches this year in Nashville and to share his call up with him minutes after he was told. I really want him to do well.. like I know he can.
  23. Stan lived next door to me in my apartment complex during the 2008 Nashville Sounds season. As a season ticket holder we talked everyday, but it was not until about now in the season that we figured out he was also my neighbor. Often he would stop by after the Sounds game and we'd watch some of the west coast games. Every player speaks nothing but highly about Stan.
  24. I'm very-very happy with his first MLB outing of 2012. As I said above....the last 3 days have been very special for me.
