  1. I've seen him throw all year in Nashville and he has been solid. I also talked with him minutes after he was told about the call to the Brewers and he was very excited. It was fun to be there when it happened
  2. I heard he threw yesterday during the Cubs game and did really well.
  3. 6 year season ticket holder in Nashville I've know Mat since he first arrived here. I saw a big improvement last year when he played 1st. It looked like he was enjoying himself. It was funny too. Early last season we talked and I just said " Dude.. 1st base..?" Mat chuckled and with a grin said "Yea, I've not played first since little league"
  4. So it's that time of the year again and the Brewers are offering their package deal on the trip to Spring Training. I'm just wonder your thoughts on if they should offer this with and without airfare..? What about those of us...like myself.....that DON'T live in Milwaukee and would love to go and enjoy the other perks of this package. Living in Nashville my ties to the team are huge as a season ticket holder and so many have come through here on the road to the Brewers.
  5. Reports I'm getting on Rogers.. He's throwing better then he ever has.
  6. Mark will have a stand out year in 2012. I'm guessing a late April-early May call-up. I'm hearing talk he's feeling the best he has in years post surgery. I've had this debate with another Brewers fan of mine and I firmly believe that he will do great in 2012. Yes he lost a few years with injuries and that is behind him now with this past surgery...and because of that.. he doesn't have thousands of bull pen and game pitches under him. His arm is not worn out like so many are at his age. He's older, smarter and stronger. I'm just feeling look out 2012..!
  7. I would not hold your breath on ever seeing Zach Braddock on the mound again.
  8. It's common for a lot of the diehards to run down to Huntsville when the Sounds are out of town... plus Atlanta is only 3 hours away, so we'll run down there when the Crew is playing there as well. Plus BNA is a major Southwest Airlines hub city with non-stops to most all the PCL cities they play...so.. ROAD TRIP. The Truth wrote: I look forward to seeing you out there. It's been a thrill. Six year season ticket holder right at the dugout. 19 of the current 25 guys have played here in Nashville. I know most all of them and still stay in touch with a few with Facebook or email.
  9. You're so right. Stan and I have stayed in touch since his day here in Nashville. When I emailed him about the picture his comment back was ..."Blazing Saddles..!!!"
  10. Funny part is Nashville and Memphis are playing right now for the final home stands for each team....
  11. From what I've read and heard yes. He'll knock out 17 games this season and will have 8 more to go next year. My understand is suspended is suspended. No playing period. I'd guess once the time is up he would go to the minors to build up innings. But with no options left and when he has the surgery and recovery all play factors
  12. Do all of you understand that there are over the counter medications you can buy in this country and that if you had them on you in other countries you would be arrested and put in jail. The same holds true coming into this country. There are medications we can take without even thinking about it that the pro athlete can not.I think back a few year to the American cyclist that was stung by a bee and his face swelled up like a grapefruit. He could not take the simple anti venium shot because it contained a band substance. You are all making accusations that are unfounded and based on wild *** guesses.
  13. Calling anyone a looser when you know none of that facts is pretty short sided as well.
  14. You'd think there's no chance he'll appear now in next week's AAA All-Star game. That is a big negative.........
  15. What can you do..? Don't believe everything you read in the press.
  16. I miss Tim......!!! He made sitting down with the guys in the bull pen so much fun.
  17. I love the story on how Ozzie the Cougar (not lion) became the Sounds' mascot.OMG... I'm sure with some digging someone can find it but a few years back they had Tim Dillard dress up in the first Ozzie outfit and do some adlib. It was so funny.
  18. The team was just bought by new owners 2 years ago........
  19. There is nothing to report about a new ball park in Nashville.
  20. My guess would be just a paperwork move to make room for Rogers as I don't think you'll see him 'A' ball for long.
  21. I think your close to being right. Nashville has had very unseasonal weather the last few days..including his last start....54 at first pitch with misty cold damp conditions. Also he's really not had a 'real' spring training yet. With shoulder stiffness to start and the hand issue he's had no real quality start let alone a work out. If he can get three good starts in Florida I think you'll see him back in Nashville.
  22. Yea I was a little shocked to see DiFer not called up as he has been lights out. Tim has been throwing very well though too and I'm happy for him. I will miss him though.. he is so funny. Often I'll sit down near the bull pen and chat with him during the games. Some fun times
  23. Why has this not shown up on the Brewers Transaction page yet..? Anyone know the reason why..?
  24. I think people tend to forget or don't know that for a while now he has been on a pitch count plus restricted to what he could throw. It was not until his last few starts with the Brewers that the restrictions were removed and he was throwing his really good stuff.
  25. I've got to agree. I have not heard anything about people being down on Mark. He looked really-really good in his September starts. I'm excited about his 2011 season. I'd love to see him start the year here in Nashville with maybe a May call up.
