  1. Some people seem to have a more exact inclination of the date in which we can bring Braun up and get that delayed year for arby.
  2. Tough call, but I am not sure Sheets will command more than what we're willing to pay for various reasons, so I'd say keep Sheeter.
  3. Signing Counsell to lose Cirillo didn't look good awhile ago, nor does it now!
  4. I predict nine guaranteed outs today from Graffy, Counsell, and Cappy.
  5. Again, Cormier is old, but was a starter in the past. Might he be a better option than Dessens? I don't believe he's been picked up yet (probably enough of a reason to expect a lot of "no" responses).
  6. Rousie Boy - Cormier, for all intents and purposes, comes absolutely free if we want him in some fashion.
  7. Sort of following where I personally see this thread headed, I ask this question.... In a way, is the best time to trade someone from your team when you are the best in baseball? Do you get more in return because we have the best record in the majors?
  8. I guess what I am thinking is, if Shouse (knock on wood) goes down, we don't really have a similar guy available to us. It'd be nice to have some insurance for his role. Not sure if this is the guy or what circumstances I'd want him under...
  9. Anyone have interest in this individual under any circumstances? Rheal Cormier --------------------- EDIT? Pertinent information from rotoworld link above: It saves having to click through on the link. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I also added Rheal's name to the thread title. --1992casey
  10. Sorry for starting the Jackson thread on the other forum. I guess I am of the thinking that I'd rather keep him and have him in the bullpen in Milwaukee. Maybe wait until June, but I think he could help us out in the pen and that will have to be his role here for the next 2-3 years (unless we have another rash of injuries). Yes, I am knocking on wood.
  11. Nelson if he keeps it up, should be the type of guy that Melvin tells teams he's unwilling to move. Then, when crunch time comes for the right player, he can give teams the satisfactory of getting him to give up Nelson to get his guy.
  12. Is there any chance Stetter could be someone we look at as another lefty in the pen, or only if Shouse is (knock on wood) injured.
  13. If we end up spending an average of 15-20 million a year on Counsell, Graffy, and Suppan... _____________________ !
  14. Mitch Stetter could conceivably help an mlb bullpen as a lefty in the "pen".
  15. Great point Sbrylski. People will be surprised what we get back if/when we trade Jenkins...
  16. IIRC, he sort of has a Melvin connection, in that Melvin's best other offer for Podsednik known to us was for Padilla.
  17. Fun game so far, can anyone disagree. Boy these kids are sure hitting the ball hard, sometimes getting rewarded with hits and sometimes not. You've gotta think a team might be interested in Ohka being their fifth starter, if we are willing to trade him. Another solid, but unspectacular outing.
  18. I suppose we will take Brady Endl sometime soon, and maybe Dusty Brabender too.
