  1. I got goosebumps when I saw the clip of the Brewers clinching the wildcard. I thought Prince was funny and always enjoy Matt Vasgersian.
  2. I have never seen a Star Wars movie.
  3. Good to see Rickie get off to a good start and also most of the pitchers who were on the mound today. The thing I love about this time of year is you can get excited about the good and chalk the bad up to it being the beginning of spring training. The only thing I don't understand about the retaliation on Prince is that the celebration involved the whole team. Are they gonna bean each player one by one throughout the season? I'm happy to see the way Prince handled it though.
  4. I am definitely all for this. Not so much because it connects Milwaukee and Madison, but because this is the first step in creating much larger train system across the country. Hopping trains in Europe for a month was one the most amazing times and relatively cheap compared to flying. I wish I could do that here in the U.S. Unfortunately, I'll probably be too old to care anymore by the time it becomes a reality.
  5. I am definitely happy for Sheets and wish him nothing but the best. I am even more happy that he isn't in the NL so we won't have to worry about him. It'll be interesting to follow his season and see if he is able to stay healthy.
  6. I really like this signing. Davis is a solid pitcher and we got him for a reasonable price. However, I will despise this signing if it causes Gallardo to switch numbers before I ever get the chance to wear my Gallardo jersey to a game.
  7. I'm really happy with this signing. I am glad to see we have a quality bench player and that we didn't have to overpay which I was worried about.
  8. I was pretty disappointed as well. If its gonna snow at all I prefer it to be a big snowfall. Also, I love the Ghostbusters reference.
  9. I really hope we are able to sign Wolf at a reasonable price. Outside of Lackey, he is probably the only free agent starting pitcher that I can get excited about.
  10. I can't believe I forgot to mention this. The prison and the brewery were my two favorite things in Dublin.
  11. The Cliffs of Moher are really cool. I also loved the Guinness Brewery as well.
  12. According to Nick Cafardo, the Brewers are showing a lot of interest in Carl Pavano.
  13. Oops, I misread it. Your right that he is a free agent. Well, in any case is this a possiblity with his injury history and Peterson as our pitching coach? I am not too familiar with the A's organization so I'm not sure if there are any other pitchers they have we might be interested in. The fact that they are looking for a young third baseman popped out at me.
  14. I just read on mlbtraderumors that the A's are looking to trade for a young third baseman. According to Billy Beane, Duchscherer may be available. Any thoughts on trading Gamel or McGehee for him?
  15. I was definitely disappointed when I first heard about this trade but I think I am going to hold off on judgements until I see what Melvin does with the money saved. I am not exactly confident, but hopefully Melvin has a plan in mind. I think the big question is will the Brewers untuck their jerseys next year without Cameron on the team.
  16. I really hope this isn't anything serious. I've been fairly optimistic about our playoff chances with the thought that Parra would pitch more consistently and Bush will come back healthy and pitch well. If Bush is going to miss an extended period, I think we need to get another pitcher to have a decent shot at the playoffs.
  17. I am a big DiFelice fan but I am not a fan of the idea of moving him to the rotation. I think the problem with taking a successful reliever and moving him to the rotation is that you may fix one problem, but you start to create a new one in the bullpen. I have been pretty satisfied with the bullpen this year so I would prefer to just leave it alone and look elsewhere for a starter.
  18. If McGehee's numbers don't drop dramatically, I think he has a real shot. I gotta tell ya, the only thing better than watching a home grown talent like Braun win ROY would be watching a player we took from the Cubs win ROY.
  19. First of all, I just want to say hi. I have been a long time reader and finally decided to start posting. I agree that this trade will probably be meaningless when it is all said and done. However, if Gwynn is somehow able to keep up this pace, we may regret this trade next year if we don't resign Cameron and are looking for a center fielder.
