  1. That was desperately needed. Gotta get Plush in here. Please nothing fancy here, Ron. Just let Braun and Prince be Braun and Prince.
  2. C'mon guys. They're down 4 with 8 innings to go. That inning sucked, but there's a lot of baseball to be played tonight. Let's at least wait until the 5th inning to bring out the Suppan comparisons!
  3. Of course. There's still plenty of time to get this done tonight. The silver lining is that if they don't get this thing done tonight, I'll be able to watch them clinch on Friday.
  4. Nothing too exciting for me. (1) 5 HR inning vs. Cincy, paid $6 for Terrace Reserved seats. (2) 16-2 victory vs. Cubs at Wrigley. Forgettable season, but what a great day to be a Brewers fan. (3) Prince Fielder walk-off 2-R HR in 2005 to give the Brewers a 3-2 victory over the Pirates. To me, that hit represents the beginning of the new era of (good) Brewers baseball. I miss having an MLB team within 2 hours.
  5. Collmenter's command doesn't look so good thus far. Only ~1.5 BB/9 in the regular season.
  6. Nerves going a bit tonight! I'm just hoping I can stay up past 11:00 ET tonight.
  7. Bullocks. I have a midterm on Thursday so I probably will have to miss the end of game 3 (I sleep at old folk times and we're on the East coast). All the more reason to get a 15-20 run lead by the end of the third.
  8. Gotta get these two runs in here. Say what you want about Runnin' Ron's brand of baseball, but it's fun to watch. So they don't walk Prince yesterday and today they walk Kotsay to get to Hart and set up the DP? That seems a bit strange to me.
  9. I think I heard a bit of a "Jerry, Jerry, Jerry" chant going there for a while. Maybe I'm just crazy, but something tells me the faithful are happy Roenicke has Hairston in the game.
  10. In a weird way, I find that one of the most rewarding plays in baseball is the two out single up the middle with a man on second.
  11. That fly ball was a bit too close for my liking. I'm uneasy about this game right now, so let's get a few more runs here.
  12. That's generally why it's a bad idea to put one in the heart of the plate when pitching to Ryan Braun.
  13. This team has a good thing going right now. Gallardo, Greinke, Marcum. Let's get it done tomorrow.
  14. I was going to rag on you a bit until I realized what you were getting at. One more Ax.
  15. Goodbye baseball. Hello 4-0 lead. We're coming for you Philly.
  16. Ouch! Looks like that got his elbow, so hopefully that doesn't swell up too much and affect Rickie. There you go Hairston, great to see an early-ish lead.
  17. It's like Christmas in October. One of our first cool days down here (~55 degrees) so it's time for open windows, playoff baseball, and a heaping bowl of mussels. This has been a special season and whatever happens over the next few weeks, I think we should all remember just how good this team was over 162 games this season. I think we all know they have a chance to do something special, so let's just enjoy the ride. I can't wait until 2:07!
  18. I was thinking Moon Man as well. Otherwise, I often drink something like Capital Amber with chili. It's a pretty basic Vienna style lager but it's well done and a 12-pack of cans can be had for $10.99.
  19. Jerry Hairston isn't quite the grizzled veteran that Casey McGehee is. Wilson has had four at-bats this month. He just doesn't add anything to this team. Hopefully Roenicke realizes this and goes with Green.
  20. This thread has made me realize that for being a team that isn't very good defensively, the Brewers have pulled off a ton of incredible plays this year. Yuni-Rickie DP was #4 on ESPN's top ten list, and I'm not sure Marcum's play was on the list. I honestly hadn't seen Marcum's play until this thread (I just couldn't find the video of it), but that's pretty incredible as well. Agreed on the Counsell Crush.
  21. What a surprise. Another Cardinals employee gets a DWI.
  22. I don't ever remember a playoff game starting that early. Not that I'm complaining, but I wouldn't want to go to a game at 11:00 AM.
