I predict we will find out who machado goes to on Tuesday night, whether it's us or not, and Stearns will have added 2 players to the roster(outside the system) by friday. -
I was disappointed at losing Parker at first, but after seeing the 20 mil figure, hard pass. Way too much money for the risk he currently is.

Just came to post about that. I understand using the whole “at the goal line” analogy, but kind of funny we now have to envision the trade talks progressing to the point where a team is on the brink of field goal range. What does this even mean lol. If we stop them on third down and make them kick the fg does that mean we get machado for just lara? [sarcasm]if they go for it on 4th against the dodgers d and get the first does that mean we are out or do we just have start over?[/sarcasm] Right now im just imagining a chart on the wall of the gms office equating trade progress with field position.

It's been discussed here before, but that HoChunk ad is the worst. What era is that couple even supposed to be from? I can't figure it out. The mid-50's to early 70's. Every single year in between. Maybe it's just me, but I get a 90's vibe from younger them.

I think we were past the point of needing this series for a measuring stick, but I felt it was a chance at a statement series and we sure made a statement to the rest of the NL imo.

You get a 26th man on DHs. Not sureif that counts on options? I think what he means is Miley is brought off dl and player x goes down. Wilkerson or woody starts game 1 as 26th man, then gets sent down for new 26th man while Miley starts game 2. Or Wilkerson or woody starts game 1 as 26th man then is sent down and Miley starts game 2 as 26th man and then after the game player x gets sent down and Miley stays. It probably depends on who player x is, but I think it's 99% likely Miley for game 2 no matter which scenario it ends being.

All star team is announced tonight. Have to assume Manny is the Orioles only representative and is currently the leader for starter. Things seem to be heating up to where he could go any day. How does this affect the all star rosters if he's traded to an NL team before the game? I could see the Os wanting to wait till after the game, but I don't see the receiving team being happy with that.

He didn't complain about the fan. He asked them to rule it fan interference which would have been an out and the runners wouldn't have moved up. I don't know who Adam was referring to, but cushon was ragging on the fan pretty hard. To me it felt like Braun was dogging it on purpose. Like he knew he could catch it but also knew it was gonna be hard to get the runner at home. Though I could be reading to much into it by my own hoping he couldn't get there in time.

Not that this effects much, but I thought I heard on the radio this is for when he was stopped and weed was found in his car a while back. Still stupid and all that though.
