He probably just thought the rest of the league would be smart about it and the opposite seems to be more true and has decided its not worth it anymore. -
MLB should send a message. Make the cardinals forfeit the weekend. Maybe that will keep the players to following the protocols.

I think it was fitting that the first real game of the season was shortened due to rain last night.

This reminds me of a situation I had a few years ago. In a short stretch I ended up passing the same person at least 3 times while being on cruise control the entire time. It was really weird.

I dont see any issues with these statements. The first one is saying it wont be much help if you feel like the mask is enough. The second one is saying it could help others from catching it from you if you are unknowingly sick, but it's not guaranteed. And the third statement is, I'm assuming, talking about how while a cloth mask isnt medical grade so it may not do much, but it should stop, or at least greatly reduce, the water particles that could contain the virus. None of these statements are contradictory.

You should tread lightly. Plenty of places on the internet to get into the nuts and bolts of this topic. I'll pass then. I only wanted to talk about it here because it was already brought up here.

I would like to weigh in on the kneeling issue but fear it might become too political for this board. I'm assuming no leeway is going to be granted on this issue?

Is it a huge advantage? Possibly a dumb question since it's not measurable. Also almost wondering with things like regional schedules and seasons as low as 50 games being proposed if it's high on the list of imbalanced things. It's not easily measured but it does exist. Theres home field advantage for a reason. And this goes beyond having thousands of fans to cheering. Without knowing how they might slip up those funds, from ticket sales to parking to food sales to merch sales, any part of that the team gets to keep would be a financial advantage as well, especially vs a team like the brewers if they dont get fans.

I wonder what the point of withdrawing is. If you get selected just dont sign. Or is it a courtesy to teams so they don't waste one of their 5 picks? -
Even on top of the health questions, what about the fairness of allowing some teams to have fans and others cant.

With a 6.5 game lead for the 1 seed I'd probably play most if it like the preseason and maybe ramp up the last 2-3 like actual regular season. Finals would be played in October, which should make it a busy month assuming baseball gets its act together.

Plus the lag would be funny. Home team dunks and the away team is crossing mid court and the crowd goes wild!
