  1. I don't see what they can do. Either the cubs play a double header game in stl in the final weekend where they are the home team for 1 of them or it would have to be pushed back. You can't do a double header on Monday because the make up would be in Chicago and potential 163 in stl. On Tuesday you could theoretically do a double header if stl wins the makeup forcing the 163 and then they lose but are the wc1, but that would be cruel.
  2. Can't have a wildcard game on that date if there is a game 163 on that date involving a wildcard team.
  3. Anyone else see what happened at the end of the cal/ole miss game? About 15 seconds left, ole miss with 3rd and goal from the 3 down 8. Pass to the goal line caught weirdly so the receiver is falling down, untouched. Ruled down at the inch line, no time outs so the scramble and get a qb sneak off with 2 seconds on the clock that fails, cal wins. The officiating team was from the Pac 12. They seemed to get the call right(I have yet to see a "tv" replay that showed a good angle, but there's some decent fan video out there), but never buzzed for the replay. Even though it's seems like the right call, I think they were wrong to not review it. I cant believe they saw enough in the short time they before the 4th down play to feel confident in the call.
  4. I had the same thought when I heard that chant. They aren't overrated, were underrated.
  5. My favored scenario. We win out. Cubs take the next 2 against the cards putting us 1 back and them 3 back. Then they both sweep their non eachother series. Then the cubs sweep the cards giving us the division and force them into a 163 for the wildcard 2 spot, which in thos scenario I believe would be at Wrigley.
  6. Now that is what the rule is for.
  7. What a terrible penalty. Not by the player necessarily, but there's almost nothing he can do. He's trying to make a tackle and the quartback basically does a crappy slide into his head. Only thing is he obviously needs to keep his head up.
  8. He's been good so far, but I've seen so much bad quarterbacking from this team for so long I can't help but think this is just a fluke. Maybe I'll come around in December. Just as long as you come around by the national championship game.
  9. Even if he doesn't come back, 140 and 2 td's isn't bad.
  10. Cramps? [sarcasm]Just give him some midol![/sarcasm] Though seriously, that doesn't sound bad and something he can definitely return from soon.
  11. I love the aggressiveness so far! I hope Taylor is ok and is just getting the series off or something weird like that.
  12. I would have given it to them, but I can see what made them overturn it. I'll take that big play though!
  13. Objects in mirror are farther than they appear.
  14. Coincidence that Davis' big preseason game was against the raiders or did that impress them enough to cover him?
  15. [sarcasm]Easing woody back in by hitting him 8th instead of cleanup. Best to be cautious guess.[/sarcasm]
  16. This would be the ultimate test of "talent plays" if he somehow gets off in a less than convincing way.
  17. They probably already think they have their QBs of the future in Rudolph, but that's still a probable high pick to give up. Though if Rudolph hits the ground running it might not be as good.
  18. Cubs and cards score basically at the same time.
  19. After the batter before him walked in a run.
  20. I think siemian may have just broke his ankle.
  21. The cards call: https://streamable.com/7u4yq I love how the ladies that caught it were just super stoked to get a ball and couldn't care less about it blowing the game for their team. I was gonna post the same thing lol. #bestfansinbaseball
  22. Rumor has it, the Packers thought they had the first down and it was 1st and 10, not 4th and 1. I'd be curious to know if the down marker on the sideline had changed by mistake. Yeah, I walk it back on the criticism due to that alone. I did not see Rodgers complain to the ref either but I guess he did right away. I know I was initially confused because the near ref looked like he was spotting it on the yellow line, so I could see some cross up where we thought it was a first and tried to run a play so it couldnt be challenged.
