  1. My thought exactly. I was just signing on to post the exact same thing. Love the pitching right now, but where did the bats go?
  2. 20 games over .500!!! Sick, I remember about a month ago I didn't think this team had a shot at the post season the way they were playing. Melvin with a great move to get K-Rod. That move addressed on of this team’s biggest weaknesses. Not the bullpen itself, but RRR's inability to manage it properly. That move essentially eliminated any decision making RRR has to make from the 7th inning on. Enjoy the ride everyone. We may never experience a run like this again. Love it! (edit: enlarged font size --1992)
  3. All he has to do is get a hit not try to hit a head high fastball out of the park.
  4. Casey blows. Swing and two out of the zone and then watch a meatball right down the middle.
  5. Thanks Marco for making me look stupid. I don't mind being wrong here. Hopefully he keeps it up. He is locating very well right now.
  6. I can't remember a recent outing for Estranda where he didn't give up a run. Have to agree with Steveo, at least a AAA starter would be stretched out and could maybe offer more innings. Thanks Chris for being an idiot and stabbing yourslef in the hand with a scissors. Well, hopefully the bats stay hot and the Crew pulls out another W. EDIT: Just checked it out and he has given up at least a run in 5 of his last 7 outings.
  7. Luc needs to lay off that slider. That pitch is owning him tonight.
  8. At work and just looked at the box score. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO CASEY TODAY!!!!! This is awesome!
  9. COBrewerfan would really hate all the rants and knee jerk reactions happening on that Cards message board.
  10. I would love to see Plush go yard and do a Rickie Henderson like dance down the first base line. A double works too. Hahaha this is great!
  11. Hell yeah, that is why Luc is so good in RBI spots. The kid always puts the bat on the ball.
  12. There is that unlucky Greinke showing up. AKA belt high fast balls get hit hard Greinke
  13. I agree with you that it sucks having Lopez with no power in the 5 hole, but I do not want Hart there at all. Yes he has power and yes he is doing well right now, but he is absolutely horrible when in the 5 hole. Why? Who knows. I would rather get some production out of him in the lead off spot than nothing in the 5 spot.
  14. How can BA say Zack didn't have his dominate stuff? 6.2 IP 3H 9K 0 RUNS looks pretty dominate to me. Nibbled a bit and ran the pitch count up, but his stuff looked great.
  15. I am not convinced Casey is turning it around, but it would be nice if he could put together a solid run over the next month while Rickie is out. Be even nicer if Rickie only missed a week or two, but doesn't look very good.
  16. Hopefully he can get through two more and things will be looking good.
  17. Hopefully Greinke will not allow a HR tonight. This may be a long shot considering he has given up 13 in his last 10 starts. He is just so unlucky.... He was solid last start, but today I want to see domination. Let's get a shut out tonight against the Scrubs! Sad that the last shut out by the Brewer's was June 10th with Narveson starting.
  18. Not gonna lie, I'm loving the way RRR has managed the pitching in this game. Finally used Loe in the perfect situation and then brings in the right guy in the 7th. Loe was finally not set up to fail, and guess what? He didn't fail!!
  19. It is a decent comparison, but I think Braun will go down as more than just a solid guy who never lead the league in much or won an MVP. Most people around the game, not just Brewer's supporters, think Braun will be one of the best hitters of this generation when it is all said and done. If he stays healthy he will have a legit chance to get to 3000 hits and 500 HR. Currently, at 819 hits and 148 HR a little over half way through his 5th year in the bigs. He is only getting better and better. His approach this year is awesome. There are not many hitters better right now in all of baseball.
  20. Similar in what way? Gindl has a .842 OPS and a .366 OBP, Davis had a .948 OPS and a .415 OBP at Brevard County... fairly significant difference there When Gindl played at Brevard County he had an .822 OPS and a .363 OBP ... granted Gindl was only 20 at the time and Davis is 23, but I still see Davis as having significantly more potential than Gindl We'll see how well Davis hits in AA though Average and HR is what I was refering too. I also stated the are pretty similar. Davis obviosuly has a little better numbers, but A-ball vs AAA is also a fairly significant difference. Other note, thanks for the other OP on the defensive note about arm strength.
  21. Off topic, but I like your pic. On another forum I go on fequently there are a bunch of Giants fans who started a thread titled Nyjer Morgan= Classy, and is just a big crybaby fest about him flipping off some fans. I would be pumped to get a reaction like that from an opposing player I have been heckling all game long. Here is to a series win today so I can read even more poor Giants fan posts.
  22. Is Prince taking a seat for sure today? Has anyone heard for sure?
