  1. Walking a pitcher is going to kill you every time and of course it does. Yo is one of my favorite Brewer's but some times I can't stand watching him pitch.
  2. Two walks in the first so far.... Come on YO!!! 27 pitches isn't too bad
  3. Glad we aren't the only ones in this world to think this. Only difference is we aren't surprised any more. Loe vs, RH bats is nice. Looking good tonight.
  4. I get the reasoning. I was more refering to the fact that Prince is prob. more likely to hit a double than Casey get a single. IMO
  5. Prince you the man!! Why not walk the bases loaded to face Casey there?
  6. Really frustrating, they have had some bad luck though. That ground rule double is a perfect example.
  7. I'm not exactly serious, but I could care less if he ever plays for this team again. Why would you want a snail slow, no defense, no bat right hand hitter on the bench? I would want him on the bench because his history has indicated that he would have more pop than anyone else we would have plus he can play 3rd, 1st, and maybe 2nd in a pinch. I couldn't care less though if Betancourt was DFA'd. This we agree on 100%
  8. DFA him? Wow, I would think that might be drastic. If you want Green to start over him cool, but then wouldn't you want Casey off the bench at least?I'm not exactly serious, but I could care less if he ever plays for this team again. Why would you want a snail slow, no defense, no bat right hand hitter on the bench?
  9. DFA Casey Baker hangs a breaking ball and all he can manage is weak fly ball.
  10. That IBB shows what the Twins think about Casey.
  11. Unless a batter hits so few singles that his BA is around .200 and is SLG is around .400, like Kottaras. Then a fair percentage of his hits are for extra bases, he just doesn't get many hits in general. That is true.
  12. The last 5+ years the Twins show what solid defense can do for a team. If they played our brand of defense they would be one of the worst teams in baseball.
  13. So Kottaras is going to keep up his every hit a HR pace? Kottaras last 3 games 3 of 9 2 HR 3 RBI vs Lucroy last 3 games 4 of 10 1 HR 1 RBI. There those stats are more comparable. I will laugh when he is back to his .200 self with bad defense and I bet there will be some complaining. Also, to the other OP who considers Kottaras a power bat, I'm not sure if i would go that far. I do agree he is 100 times better than Nieves. That I can't argue with.Kottaras is a power bat. He has a career ISO of .185 The best power hitters in the game will have an ISO around .300 and anyone with an ISO over .200 is hitting for power at a good clip. An ISO below .200 indicates that a vast majority of the players hits are not going for extra bases.
  14. This was a good argument back when Lucroy was hitting well, and Nieves was the backup catcher. Right now, Lucroy is having a horrible month at the plate (.190 AVG .230 OBP) and Kottaras has looked good (2-5 2 HR 3 RBI in his 2 starts). Won't complain at all when he plays. That I can't argue with.
  15. Gonna beat a dead horse here. Hate the Lucroy can't catch Wolf thing with a passion. Had a day off yesterday, but now he still has to sit because he can’t catch Wolf. Lucroy has looked like he is breaking out of his slump, but now he is off for two days because of our #4 starter. Don’t reply with your a catcher is never going to catch X amount of games comments. It makes no sense here. Because of this Lucroy will only be catching 4 of the next 6 games, and they have an off day on Monday. He should be catching Wolf tonight and the Kottaras can catch Wolf at Yankee Staduim to take advantage of that short porch in right. Of course RRR would never think ahead at all.
  16. I sure hope Zack doesn't hit the wall in the next inning or two, because he finally is looking like that ace we traded for. *Knock on Wood*
  17. Nice inning for Narv Dog. We need one of his 8 IP games tonight to give the pen a break
  18. Hopefully Prince goes yard hear because with this lineup we might not have many scoring ops.
  19. Great game, glad I missed it. Yo and Marcum shelled in the series. This is one to forget.
  20. You were way off chickinbrickin. The 5,6,7,8 and 9 hitters had 3 hits tonight, going 3 for 20 with 0 BBs.Damn Wilson had to ruin my prediction with a double. Can he start a little more ofter?
  21. Alcides tracker: 7th multi hit game in his last 8 today. Just turned on the game asnd I was in awe to see two things. The Brewer's were ahead in the 8th and Kamerom Loe is still facing lefties. Glad to see him get through the inning though. He's to Ax-Man mowing them down in the 9th.
  22. Not even going to watch this one. I am going to guess two hits out of the 5-9 guys tonight. Only good thing going for us is we have a lefty on the mound.
  23. Pretty sure Escobar won't be the piece that we regret trading, but never know I guess. I'm guessing that we won't regret the trade at all though in the end. Yeah, I think if there ends up being regret it will be with Odorizzi. I am guessing the same as you, because Greinke's numbers point toward a major turn around at some point this season.
  24. Alcides had his 6th multi hit game in his last 7 tonight, and looks like he is finally getting the bat going. Sure hope Zack starts dominating at some point this year, or that trade could end up looking really bad long term. I will say Plush makes me miss Cain a lot less. Praise god for that trade. Anyway, back to the game. GO BATS!!
