  1. This series is going to be a serious reality check for us Brewers fans, the manager, and hopefully Melvin. You can't keep running out a bunch of scrubs and hope to compete for a world series against the Sox, Yankees, Phillies ect. This team can keep making cute little winning streaks against the bottom of the NL, but that won't get them more than MAYBE a wild card.
  2. I would. This game is over. Might as well justsave the bullpen for the weekend.
  3. Our second baseman is pretty good with the glove too. The rest of our infield...not so much.
  4. Casey, please help me get a sliver of faith back in you as a hitter
  5. Cubs are world beaters now huh? 3-1 win over the Yankees today????
  6. I agree with you, but it see why they didn't with the interleague schedule of 1 series away 2 at home and 1 away. They wouldn't be used at home with no DH.
  7. I was praying we traded him last year. How nice would that have been to get 1 and a half nice years out of him, and got a few prospects to boot.
  8. What sucks is RRR won't even move Casey out of the 5 hole let alone suggest to Melvin that he needs to be replaced.
  9. Now my impression of RRR. I really like how the players like him and the team feels more inspired than I can remember. Now the positives end. It boggles my mind how he doesn't have any common sense when it comes to managing. I get a kick out of all the rants on this forum about how he should handle different aspects of a game and all are the same, and for the most part correct. Myself along with countless other members ranted endlessly in the IGT when Gomez was batting 2nd the first month of the year. Now that the change has been made the offense is much better. How can a bunch of bums on a forum see something is wrong and needs to be changed a month before the manager sees it? It seems like RRR is unwilling to adjust his lineups/rolls even when it is glaringly obvious a change needs to be made. It took over a month to get Gomez out of the 2 hole. It still hasn't sunk in that Loe isn't a 8th inning only set-up man who should only be facing right handed hitters. It still hasn't sunk in that Braddock and Hawkins are his best options out of the pen (less Axford). It still hasn't sunk in that Casey needs to move down the order. It still hasn't sunk in that Yuni should bat 8th or be on the bench. It still hasn't sunk in that Estrada having a couple solid outings when Greinke was hurt doesn't make him an option with a small lead. I feel like I could keep going....squeeze play, not intentionally walking guys when it makes sense, hanging on to Nieves for way too long. If all of this isn't obvious to him something is wrong. Players should lose the games not the manager.
  10. I am doubting the manager tells them to show bunt. It is more of a hitters preference. If Morgan is going up there taking on the first pitch he might decide to show bunt to try to throw the pitcher off.
  11. I loved how last night when a reporter asking RRR why he went with Estrada in the 8th, basically asking why not Hawkins or Braddock, all he said was Kam wasn't available. I honestly feel like it doesn't even cross his mind to use Braddock or Hawkins with a lead. Even though I hate losing to the Cubs at least now his horrible management is front and center and not being covered up by late inning heroics by the bats. Also, no more Nieves! Thanks God! Edit: Watch the language. - PA
  12. Why would you ever put a guy in in the 8th inning who has only allowed 1 ER in 16 outings this year. That roll is reserved for a guy who did okay filling in as a 5th starter when Greinke was hurt, and had one or two decent appearances out of the bullpen. Prince..I thought you would know that.
  13. His big brother was 9 lbs 12 oz; so we think he is a runt. When will we finally see the last of Yuni? I am so sick of his 1 pitch outs I want to puke.
  14. 8 lbs 7 oz. or 3 oz larger than the Cubs CF tonight.
  15. I think we still have $30 towards your child being named Yuniesky chickinbrickin. It's a Boy! The wife backed out on Yuniesky last moment so we went with Noah James, and little Noah just heard his first F-Bomb after that squeeze attempt. Have to love hitting 2 doubles in an inning and getting no runs. *Shaking My Head*
  16. Almost game time boys. Wife been in labor since about 10AM. Thought the baby was going to come this weekend, but it didn't want to leave the womb until the Cubs series started. No need for congrats posts, I used all those up on Sat. when I thought for sure it was going to happen. Hope we figure out Dumpster tonight. Pumped the delivery room has a nice fat sceen TV so I will be able to watch the game too! I don't thhink I could be mad today even if Yuni, Gomez, Kotsay, and Nieves were in the starting line up.
  17. Not yet, smaller contractions. Probably going tomorrow for sure. What a great day that will be a new member of the family and a sweep of the Classies. Priceless! I am loving this hot hand a SS platoon. Less is more when it comes to Yuni.
  18. Thanks for the congrats everyone! No kid yet, but I convinced my wife Yuniesky Carlos is a great name for a boy. Go Crew!
  19. My boss offered to take me to this game tonight (front row down the third base line), but I had to decline because we are expecting kid number two today or tomorrow. I am pissed I am missing out on this one. Am I a horrible dad? Hopefully, Greinke will throw a perfect game and then the baby will come, and I will have a sweet story to tell my son or daughter when they get older.
  20. Very true, not going to lie Reyes instead of Yuni is something to dream and drool over becuase that would be nuts, but never will happen.
  21. I hear ya.................how about replacing Betancourt with Reyes.........yeah, that'd be nice. Reyes6Weeks4Braun7Fielder3Hart9McGehee5Lucroy2Morgan8Gallardo1 Looks a lot better. The past few days there have been a ton of posts about Reyes as a Brewer. These are all just dreams right........ Picture this line up Reyes6Weeks4Braun7Fielder3Kemp8Bautista5Mauer2Ellsbury9Halladay1 Looks a lot better What's the point? He will never be a Brewer. At least not a Brewer on a team with Fielder, Greinke or Marcum.
  22. I gave him a 1 as well, because he is easily one of the worst defensive first basemen in the league. When Fielder makes a scoop I am really pumped because he fails to do so most of the time. Like a previous OP stated, in the bigs scooping low throws should be routine. I know he can't control his body type, but that still doesn't mean he deserves a better defensive grade because of it. Horrible range, horrible arm, below average glove, and short = horrible. With the bat he is unreal, but that is for a different thread.
