  1. I don't know why but I'm feeling good about this game. EDIT: Just for fun I added up the OPS for the top 4 in the order and compared it with the bottom 4. I left out the pitcher spot and keep in mind this is without Braun in the top 4. Top 4: Weeks, Morgan, Hart, Prince---> Total OPS= 3.639 average .910 Bottom 4: Casey, Kotsay, Yuni, Nieves---> Total OPS= 2.300 average .575 Maybe I'm not feeling so good. That is the black hole of all black holes after Prince.
  2. Good call on the line up spot with Kotsay hitting 6th. Thank God he isn't in CF though.
  3. Why? What makes you think they need 5 + with Marcum on the mound? Less his last start 2 runs should get the job done. Obviously, more is better, but i can live with 2 runs so far.
  4. No, because we should now have three outs, and inning over. It does help though.
  5. Nice to see the bats coming along on a road trip finally.
  6. He posted an OPS over 800 once in his 5 years in the minors and that was in his first year of winter ball. He suddenly comes out of no where the second half of 2010 and for 2011. It isn't hate; the numbers just suggest what we are seeing now is more of the real Casey McGehee.
  7. I hope the stay is a long one. I have been a fan of him since 2007, and I am glad he is coming into his own in the big leagues. Nice inning by Greinke there.
  8. I'm a believer that Casey needs to be moved down in the order. I have never and will never be a believer in him as a ball player.
  9. Yes, he is a black hole. A black hole RRR has to keep in the 5 spot no matter what.
  10. This will never be typed ever again. I will take it though. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  11. Glad to see they are starting to work the count down 5 runs......... Yuni blows.
  12. It hate when Narveson isnt on the game is over by the 5th inning. I wouldn't mind seeing Estrada get a chance for a start.
  13. What a great pitch there Narvi. 0-2 and hang one?!?!
  14. I think Lucroy got the squeeze sign after that first ball. Did you notice how long it took him to get back into the batters box, and he showed no signs of bunting on that first pitch? If so that was a great call. You would assume the pitcher is going to be throwing something over the plate, because no way he wanted to fall behind 2-0 with the bases loaded. If it backfired and Luc missed and Braun gets out it is still 1 and 1 with runners on third and second. Still a chance to get a base hit to win it. There was no way to lose the game right there; so it makes more sense.
  15. Tough inning with 2 passed balls. He was 2 for 4 and is currently carrying the best average on the team (less Morgan). I don't know if that is a tough game. I agree a catcher does typically take at least one game off a week. I guess if Wolf has issues with him he might as well take that day off when Wolf pitches. It is annoying though. All the other starters praise Lucroy's work ethic and ability to call a game; so it seems more like a Wolf issue that a Lucroy issue.
  16. Yep, that ball Huff hit was seriously one step away from him, and he could only muster a half a step.
  17. But Yuni is leading the league in BA when swinging at the first pitch......STUPID.
  18. Haven't seen Josh Wilson play much during his time in the bigs. Do any of you guys know anything about his defense? I know his bat sucks...Gomez has a better career average, OBP, and OPS than him so if he is bad in the field the pick up makes no sense to me.
  19. Love you Weeks! Not many hit a ball harder the Rickie.
  20. http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSxDlpnpgpJ2xc2h50_CSeVelWQEZtA2tNQRV4EPZIROS04K99vTg ? Still not as cool as a double rainbow.
  21. You can't deny he fought off a 98 MPH fast ball up and in for a hit when the vast majority of hitters would have completely missed.
