  1. No. He's still almost 40 innings below last year's total and this was one start against a good hitting team.
  2. I'm not sure if it's a step up to face the Mariners though. Their only RH bat of note is Nelson Cruz. Be interested to see who out of Aoki, Cano, Seager, Lind, and Martin they sit.
  3. Brad Ziegler's last two appearances for the Red Sox have resulted in 0 runs (earned or not) allowed and 2 blown saves.
  4. Well crap. I was expecting this to at least be on WGN. Guess I'll actually have to do something with my day now.
  5. He was/is the Brewers #1 prospect. That's why people expect him to be better than MLB average OPS, no matter how good his defense is. I don't have those expectations, just pointing out why many fans expect more. If he was the 18th ranked prospect, it wouldn't be an issue. Yup. I posted last year that Arcia was only going to disappoint fans (especially the casual ones). He's been labeled a top Brewers prospect for a couple years so people are going to assume a Weeks, Hardy, Braun, Fielder, Hart type player but he's not.
  6. Is Johnsonville now the official sausage of the Brewers?
  7. Has Jimmy always started perpendicular to the plate out of the wind up?
  8. Come on jimmy. If you're going to hit them at least make it count.
  9. Did not even realize there were no outs until the Ross strikeout. Good grief.
  10. Maybe I'm wrong but didn't Chapman simply fire a gun in his garage and never touch his wife/girlfriend/whatever? Not sure how that makes him a wife beater. Also not sure how one random Cubs employee who has really nothing to do with the team playing a song makes them self destructive.
  11. The thing is that Arcia isn't a great hitter and probably never will be. He was a hyped prospect for his defense and one great season in AA. Outside of Biloxi, he hasn't OPS'd over .738 in the states. I suppose you could play the "he's always been young for his level" card but I don't think you'll get much more than a .320/.400 line out of him in the bigs at his peak. As long as he keeps playing the great defense we've seen so far and he hits near the bottom of the order instead of the 2 hole he'll do at SS until he hits free agency.
  12. That's what'll happen when you spend half your career on the DL. Surprising nonetheless though.
  13. The save is so stupid. There's not reason to bring in Chapman here. Any random guy in your bullpen can get one out before giving up three runs.
  14. I thought he was out. When his hand touched the ground it didn't touch the plate. It touched in front of the plate and the tag happened before he actually touched the plate.
  15. So in game 1 Brian and Bill were all "runners shouldn't have to touch the plate." Now they say nothing about it and even point out you have to touch the plate.
  16. I'm scared. Rock and I were thinking the same thing on that play. Crashing Villar was stupid because the runner scores easily. But if you're going to it bring in an outfielder to prevent that from happening. I'm not sure if that Counsell or Villar's fault but it was a stupid play on someone part.
  17. Rizzo's shortened up and slapped two hits with two strikes so far in this game. Who was the last Brewer to do that once?
