  1. What would satisfy you (or anybody)? Should Luc take the month of November to personally come to Wisconsin for a "Thank You Wisconsin" party? Should he be given a list of every season ticket holder from 2010 until present so he can personally call them? Should he do a Winter Caravan around the state to thank everybody? The thing is, there will be no pleasing everybody so he did something that a whole lot of people would see. I'm guessing this wasn't some full-page ad stuff among the classifieds so it was clearly visible. This is better than him doing nothing. And really, "it's way overdone already?" So what?! edit: heh, I didn't see that some other people had beaten me to the punch! Nothing. I really don't give a crap about his feelings or how much he supposedly enjoyed playing here. It's a business on all ends and I'm fine with that. Lucroy served his purpose for the Brewers in that he played well for a few years and was traded to help the future of the club.
  2. Knowing the Brewers luck I'm guessing Guerra is done for the year, has TJ over the winter, and never throws another pitch for the Brewers.
  3. There's honest and then there's burying your team and teammates. Lucroy walked that line very closely. I think the fact that Braun more or less called him out in an interview over those comments show what his teammates thought about it. I personally don't care if Lucroy gave us the finger on the way out or bought the whole city of Milwaukee season tickets. Him being traded was better for the organization then him sticking around till free agency or signing an extension so I'm glad he was traded.
  4. I think the fact that he twice said he wanted to play for a winner and then blocks a trade to a winner because he won't be the starter at the position he wants to play (not even that he wouldn't play at all) next year rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. And then there's the whole suitcase thing he blamed on his wife that many feel was a lie. Also, the whole full page ad thanking a city is way overdone already.
  5. So when Escobar was coming up we asked JJ to move to 3B and he said no. So we traded Alcides and then JJ tanks and he's traded not long after leaving a black hole at short for over 5 years. Now Villar isn't quite JJ but the situation is almost exactly the same and it seems like we just told Jonathan he's playing 3B. I suppose if we don't trade Alcides we don't get Greinke and don't make the playoffs and if we don't trade JJ there's no Gomez and therefore no haul from Houston last year but why was it so hard to just tell JJ you're playing 3B, deal with it. He pulled the same thing in Baltimore when Machado came up.
  6. Nelson Cruz was never a big deal imo. It took him years to be good, when he finally got good it was only at home in that park of theirs and at some point in there he started using PEDs. He only ever had 1 really good year for the Rangers and most of his major success was for another team after his service time was over. Cruz has put up his 3rd and 4th highest single season OPS playing in Seattle. I don't think the park really made a difference.
  7. Some? How many actually think we should have held onto Davis? I think Briggs is the only one that wanted to hold onto him. Everyone else is disappointed that it looks like Nottingham isn't going to stick at catcher, which is fair, and would have preferred to trade him at this deadline when he might have brought back more.
  8. Dan Patrick looks really old. Like really, really old. And does he have Parkinsons or something because his hand shakes like crazy when he's holding the microphone.
  9. I just logged out and logged back in and everything is showing again.
  10. Has Fox Sports Go dropped baseball games? It wasn't working at all on Friday and now last night and today all it shows available is racing.
  11. Unfortunately, his knees retired about 5 years earlier.
  12. That's great I must have missed that game. I knew everyone hated Macha because he never spoke up for the players. When a player was freaking out he just stood in the dugout corner. And of course the infamous letter to the commissioner about teams plunking Rickie, Prince, and Braun.
  13. Since I can't the game I'll comment on these boring opening ceremonies. "Here's a bunch of people from some random country walking around. Here's a random pointless fact about that country." Rinse and repeat.
  14. Nothing's loading. I'm getting a mostly blank, mostly white screen. Me too. I guess I'm glad it's not just me but I would like to watch the game instead of the stupid olympic opening ceremony.
  15. They don't get much worse than Ron. Although Yost was/is pretty bad and did his best to prevent the Royals from winning the wild card game two years ago.
  16. Well since most of the guys that make the system #1 are above A+ I don't think that would help much.
  17. Jose Bautista or Edwin Encarnacion is Boston's DH next year. That's all but guaranteed.
  18. Last time I did that we got stuck in the mountains in Eastern Washington for a couple hours because they were clearing the tracks from a snowstorm. We got a free bag of pretzels out of it though. Good luck.
  19. How do Santana's numbers compare to Khris Davis?
  20. Seconded. It's the new nugget.
  21. Papelbon choked Harper. Fielder is the guy you're looking for.
  22. At what point does Braun go up to him and go, "Dude, stop trying to steal 3B when I'm at the plate. It's distracting and you're getting thrown out too much, and it's hurting to team." I say that in jest but if the coaches aren't getting to him shouldn't it be the job of a veteran to say something as well?
  23. Just saw the slide and to the letter of the rule that should be an out. His feet clearly weren't going toward the base. The Padres announcers kept saying his hand was close to the base so it should be a legal slide which is stupid because the hand has nothing to do with the slide.
  24. He's got a 110 OPS+ against RHP in his career. He's an above average hitter against righties and you face righties 75+% of the time. Yes, he's a platoon guy but he hits the side of the platoon you see most often and hits them pretty well for his position. He has value.
