  1. If Francoeur is hitting anywhere 1-9 on a regular basis you have a problem. But I guess the Brewers did make the playoffs with Yuni starting everyday.
  2. I'm confused why everyone keeps saying this? Is the logic that the money they would have used on Greinke they are going to give to Hamilton?
  3. Hart is pretty easily replaceable at first base. Above average hitting first basemen literally grow on trees.
  4. Gomez is looking at $15 million or more a year in free agency if he repeats his season. Look at what Upton and Victorino got.
  5. A little update. I asked my friend who filed a complaint what happened. He said after he filed his complaint he a got a check for 1 of the 10 weeks they owe him. I mailed my complaint today. I'm not even going to bother threatening them with it, I'm just going to do it.
  6. Would anyone have been ok if instead of the Twins making the deal the Brewers made the same deal with Philly but traded Gomez? Just curious.
  7. Joe Blanton got $15 million over 2 years for the Angels. Is it me or does that seem very reasonable, almost a bargain?
  8. Seems like his "value" has always been tied to his great post season a couple years ago.
  9. FSN can only pay out less than they're selling in advertising. We can complain about high ratings and high attendance but ultimately it's very affordable (i.e. cheap) to do business in Wisconsin compared to other markets so the amount that FSN Wisconsin is making off of commercials is probably dramatically lower than everywhere else.
  10. Rule 5 picks have to make the roster or you lose them.
  11. Same reason every college coach goes somewhere else.
  12. I really would prefer never to see these people again. Not because they laid me off and this whole situation but because I hated them well before this but it seems like all I really need to do is ask for payment and if I don't get it in 6 days I can file a complaint and let DWD take care of it.
  13. 3-hour Raws are bareable when you spend half of them watching Monday Night Football.
  14. Mike Rivera will come to the rescue like he always does.
  15. He doesn't want to be there and they don't want to pay him. I doubt it would take much to get him.
  16. The place that laid me off in July still owes me my last two weeks pay. I contacted them in September and was told they would mail my check to me the next week. After not getting a check that week I contacted them again and was told the payroll person was sick last week and I'd get a check next week. More time goes past and I contact them in October and they tell me they are waiting for a large payment from a client and would pay me when they get the payment but would include interest. I kind of forgot about it until last week so I emailed them again and haven't gotten a response. Yesterday I was contacted by someone I worked with there who is working somewhere else now and he told me he is filing a complain with the DWD because he hasn't gotten paid either and told me I should too. I've looked into it a little bit and it seems like I've done everything I need to do to file a complaint. However, what I would like to do is contact my former employer again and say that I would like my payment or I'm going to file a complaint. More so because I don't feel like dealing with all the crap that is probably involved by going through the DWD and whatever legal channels may follow. Below are links to where I've gotten my information. Anyone have any advice or experience anything like this before? http://dwd.wisconsin.gov/er/labor_standards_bureau/how_to_file_a_wage_claim.htm http://dwd.wisconsin.gov/dwd/forms/erd/ls_119_e.htm
  17. It's the best 3-4-5 with Ramirez. I would say with Hart and if Rickie gets back to his career norms it may be the best hitting lineup in baseball.
  18. I have never ever had a problem or question about my iPod or Macbook before. Never had to deal with the Apple Store or a help line. Just recently realized I needed to upgrade my OS and knew quite a few smart people were Mac users on this board and thought I would just ask here. It has been quite helpful. Same here. Never once had an issue with it. In the going on 4 years I've had mine it has only frozen once. I think my Windows laptop freezes 2 or 3 times just booting up.
  19. Of all the potential reasons for a player's lack of success that is by far the dumbest I have ever heard. If there is any truth to that I wouldn't want Manny making my burger at McDonalds let alone trying to be a professional athlete.
  20. For some reason Matt Ford always sticks out in my mind as well. If I recall correctly he was able to stick around in the bull pen the whole season and actually got a decent workload. He started the year in the bullpen. Was moved to the rotation. Made a few terrible starts. Was placed on the DL and was never heard from again.
  21. This is sarcam, right?
  22. Thank you. About time Doug put a fork in him. Mental toughness had nothing to do with Manny. He just wasn't good. Sure he could throw hard, big whoop when you can't throw a strike.
  23. Interesting. I got mine in 2008 and have OSX 10.5.8 too and haven't had any problems installing updates.
  24. It's irrelevant now anyway since he's going to sign in Japan. Since he was non-tendered doesn't that make him a free agent?
  25. The Diamondbacks non-tendered Brad Bergesen. His career numbers aren't horrible and are comparable to Scott Feldman's. Any chance he would agree to less than Scott or a minor league deal? Bergesen, age 27 424 IP, 4.61 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, 2.6 BB/9, 4.8 K/9 Feldman, age 29 727.2 IP, 4.81, 1.42 WHIP, 3.1 BB/9, 5.4 K/9
