  1. I'd like to see Yo get an extended rest and come back hopefully stronger next year. Starters often have bad years and then bounce back.
  2. agreed Gene. Mark back in Milwaukee could tease us and give us another arm for next year. If he can be healthy with velocity and a better training/throwing regimen going forward, then this was a good season to miss.
  3. not sure which is most shocking...to see Mark Rogers in a game, or to see he got 2k/ip and 0bb/ip
  4. ha, thanks Foamboy. I thought this used to start in mid-July since the rosters used to come out around Aug 10th. I'm not saying all those guys will go, but I listed a bunch that are possible. Igor, does Heckathorn have any reason to be in the majors? Last I heard he was throwing 90 mph with no decent off-speed pitches. He's never shown the power arm that got him ranked higher than his draft position.
  5. Here goes: Eric Arnett, Jed Bradley, Lamantagne, and Ross competing for the annual injured pitcher trying to make up time spot Heckathorn (like Arnett, I think this is a big fall/summer. Aren't they 40-man capable this offseason?) Josh Prince...more seasoning D'Vo...obvious reason Brock K Jason Rogers Hunter Morris....AFL prospect finishing school Nick Shaw or Mike Walker
  6. Mine are the 80s comedies....Airplane!, Stripes, Blue Brothers, Animal House, Fletch, Caddyshack, etc Some favorites... "Thank you very little" after making a birdie/eagle in golf "Put it on the Underhills" and "I'll have a steak sandwich and a....steak sandwich" (as a country club member, these are huge quotes) "So I've got that going for me...which is nice" "we could do that...we don't even need a reason for that."
  7. Yuni is what we expect. He's a backup that's capable of playing multiple positions and possesses a little power. Due to injuries he is starting. Sorry, but this team wasnt built to withstand missing our 1b, 3b, LF, backup 1b/3b/lf, and backup to the backup at 1b/3b/2b. Yuni B isn't the problem. Plus Weeks' one tool that always does adequately is OBP. Why not put him in a spot where he can focus on success with OBP instead of failure with RBI? We're in last place, so it's worth a try.
  8. Zarraga playing well and playing some catcher again. A lot has happened since he had his great rookie ball campaign...injuries, becoming a switch-hitter, etc. Also, good to see Arnett out there. I would imagine he'll be assigned to the AFL to make up for lost time and to potentially try to earn a 40-man roster spot. Maybe the extended rest for his arm will allow velocity to return
  9. I'm with others that would like to see Bianchi get 2 starts a week at 2nd. I'll stand by Weeks, but Bianchi has some offensive upside as well, while being a better defender
  10. not sure how I was bring a troll. Molitor was my favorite Brewers player growing up. But the man supposedly had a drug problem and has been through treatment programs for a sex addiction (unfortunately not with his spouse). Somebody said it was "kind of funny" the info was mentioned on the same day as Braun's suspension, and I was just curious what their vague comment was alluding to.
  11. Wooten has had an awesome minor league career and would be in the majors if not for Tommy John surgery. I'm looking forward to seeing him throw.
  12. guys, thanks for taking my post the right way. I was figuring that someone would find fault in my logic and ridicule my comments. I do not endorse what Braun did. But I think we (American sports fans) have our priorities out of whack if ESPN is trying to push the crusade against PEDs in baseball (while ignoring other sports) instead of the bigger problems that are occurring. K-Rod should have been declared ineligible to play until his legal proceedings were cleared up. If guilty he should have faced further penalty. Yo should have gotten at least a 40 game suspension.
  13. Anyone else pick up on the irony that Ryan Braun was blasted for being suspended for steroids (and his lying about them) but Francisco Rodriguez was being praised for his prowess and contributions. One might be a hypocritical scumbag, but the other has had multiple incidents of domestic violence and only escaped prosecution because the victim was removed from the country (why wasn't the case re-opened when he returned in May??). Seeing as I (reluctantly) welcomed back K-Rod, I will also welcome back Braun as his crime pales in comparison.
  14. why is that kind of funny? Because he's a Brewers legend or because of his drug and sex addictions?
  15. double header soon, too
  16. Interesting to see Schilling speaking out. He wasn't well-liked as a person in baseball circles for his hypocrisy.
  17. I'm still not giving up on this year. 41 more wins till .500, 47 puts us in contention. Gotta beat up on the Central
  18. I'd like to see these guys targeted for 140 games. We have solid backups that can play and it'll probably keep everyone sharper
  19. Bosch's clinic likely leaked the positive test since it was rumored to have come from Braun's side and from a Florida
  20. would be nice for Scarpetta to re-establish himself as a stud prospect
  21. Wanted to mention that the temperature in scorching hot Montana was as hot at game time as in Phoenix.
  22. crossface, he does not become a free agent after 2013/2014. What happens is the Brewers are not allowed to offer arbitration, thus making him a free agent.
  23. trwi7, I didn't read all the previous posts, so I didn't know the contradiction. But when we signed him, this was widely reported as I've told people this for 1 1/2 years now. I didn't make it up, so I remember reading it somewhere. Seems somewhere along the line the signals got crossed
  24. Seidel has thrown rather well since his promotion to AAA and re-insertion as a starter. I kind of thought the organization gave up on him, but he's done well sans 1-2 outings.
