  1. clancy and pogo, Krynzel has had 1 PH and 1 PR appearance since crashing into the wall making a catch. He likely isn't 100% yet.
  2. Cruz really isn't at that point yet. He has what, 3 months in AAA? Hart has around 11. The Brewers openly spoke of holes in his swing in spring training. It's quite possible that Clark takes on a role similar to Helms a last year. Of course, I think teams would rather acquire Clark than see Milwaukee not play him.
  3. it's really interesting, because if guys keep this up, the Hurricane, Braun, Salome, etc could deserve midseason bump-ups to the next level. That's not even talking about the pitching
  4. Another name of a pitcher....Brandon Webb And finally, there's a decent pitcher out there by the name of Kerry Wood who makes plenty of money, with rather iffy career numbers
  5. bucksman, those intangibles are what make Cappy arguably a #2. He was great in '04 until the two ill-fated starts while hurt, he was great last year till September. He's at least a #3. Sheets a legit #1.
  6. Great throw by Hall. He has one of the strongest arms of guys in CF today in the majors I like Ned's decision to keep Li'l Ben out there. We have uncertainty with Ohka, they were already talking about bringing Bush back on 3 days rest, and why mess with what's working. If Sheets were still in, they'd have let him lead off there. So try to keep the pen as fresh as possible
  7. Find me another $10 mill/yr pitcher with his win totals and I'll start to rationalize what makes him so much better than Cappy AJ Burnett
  8. so pinch hit for Hendrickson I'd assume? He's dealing, but he's also leading off. I'd imagine De La Rosa or Lehr would be next in line
  9. Li'l Ben hit 91 a few times. Sheets averaged about 92, with a few hitting 94 (3 or 4) and a few hitting 90. So that shows Sheets didn't have his best stuff
  10. Huh? He's been throwing a ton of 2-seamers the last few years. Nope. The only park he regularly throws 2-seamers is Coors Field. He almost exclusively has thrown the 4 seamer the last 3 years, hence why his fastball has jumped from 92 to 98
  11. ben sheets showing once again that he's possibly our best bunter...If only weeks would try that more (that one last week was amazing)
  12. yeah, but peavey his velocity is 3-4 mph down. And he hasn't been hitting his spots. He's probably fine. His knock in the early years was he had the tendency to come out throwing softer. Could also be just some dead arm time
  13. does Biggio kill other teams like he kills us?
  14. funny, other teams' fans complain our announcers are too rah-rah for the Brewers, and Brewers' fans complain they give too much press to other teams
  15. markwitx...don't you want to avoid the Astros' pen?
  16. okay, so maybe the 5 HR inning is this one...come on boys
  17. they pointed out that his velocity was down all start long. So maybe he had some tenderness today, and it just never went away, possibly worsening I'd imagine Hendrickson would take the turn on Saturday with Fernandez joining the pen. Although it's possible Eveland to the rotation, Hendrickson stays out there
  18. well, Capellan just got Munsoned (yeah, I went there)
  19. right rotator cuff strain doesn't sound good.
  20. Hopefully this isn't something where Okha is going to miss any starts. We really can't afford that. If he does miss a start or two, maybe he can be kind to us and skip only the ugly starts
  21. nice Billy. How about a 5 hr inning now
  22. good to see Rickie laying off the low pitches better. Starting to look like he did last July
  23. just thought I'd mention here, Tim Hudson carrying a 1 hitter into the 9th...the 1 hit was by the opposing pitcher
  24. Okay, Billy, you've got a DH behind the plate...just trot on down to 2nd
  25. Did it clear the .300 Club, or just Friday's? I think just Friday's. It was hit so hard it might have still been rising on a linedrive, 360-370 away
