  1. I agree that he should remain in the pen, but at this point he deserves the option to try starting if he wants. Last year at this time I argued his 2018 season should be in the bullpen due to a lack of command. His innings were rather inefficient and he really had his spots. This year his command has been outstanding for most of the year. Two pitch pitchers do exist as starters. Randy Johnson and ben sheets come to mind. Heck, Chacin and Miley rely heavily on one pitch. I’ve always liked the model of letting young pitchers learn to attack hitters and learn pitchabioity in the pen as a reliever before becoming a starter. Burnes and Woodruff May be ready as starters in part because of relieving.
  2. Do you have wi-fi calling turned on? In my neighborhood in AZ, it's amazing how many people complain about cell-signal in their homes and we're never worried because of wi-fi calling
  3. Dodgers have 2 catchers that can't hit...one of whom also can't catch
  4. The biggest question is why wasn’t Schoop taken out at some point? He’s brutal. It’s sad that when he fouls off a few pitches, it ranks as one of his most successful at bats in months. Can Ben Sheets give him hitting lessons
  5. It’s been interesting to see Arcia has made a pretty major change in his mechanics. For almost the entire season he has been flying open with his hips, leaving him flailing at outside pitches with his arms (and not his entire body). In the post-season, Arcia has occasionally popped his hips early, but for the most part his hips have been staying squared to the plate/ball and it’s allowing him to drive the ball.
  6. This time we can try to get Gio through 4-6 innings. Woodruff for 3 innings. Jeffress/Knebel for save. Who am I kidding? We can let Burnes finish off the 7-0 win.
  7. If the Brewers think Hiura's elbow will hold, they may very well open the year with Perez at 2b. If Moose wants to stick around for a year, I think there's plenty of at bats for him and Shaw, even with Perez and eventually Hiura.
  8. At this point I can't see Schoop sticking around. He hasn't shown anything, and his track-record previously was all about power. I'm not certain besides that though
  9. The entire media storyline has been Dodgers rotation vs Brewers relievers. But the Dodgers rotation has been outpitches, while our pen has been outhit
  10. While I normally don’t like to assign blame, this one hurts. Burnes needed to be better
  11. They did. They trust Cedeno yesterday. They trusted Burnes today. They stunk. This is the key. When Burnes came in, we expected 2 1/3 of shutdown ball.
  12. I’ve driven my fiancé crazy. Every Turner at bat I’ve declared how much I hate him...now she knows why. It’s been interesting the Jeffress hasn’t thrown as many changeups and curves in the post-season. Seems like the only place Turner chases is up
  13. So the argument that we shouldn’t get excited until he’s top 5/10 is bunk
  14. While I like the Google Pixel 3 selfie camera commercials, they don’t make sense. Don’t people take selfies in landscape? I can’t hold the phone one handed and hit the button in portrait. Of course I take all photos and videos in landscape so they can be seen on a screen without letterbox, and I only take like 3 selfies per year.
  15. He has one tool. He hits for poor average, doesn’t walk...strikes out a lot. That’s 1TO. Not sure why we traded for him
  16. Was Braun ever top 5? Top 10?
  17. I’m pretty sure Counsel understands the critiques that you need to manage a 7-game series differently than a 5-gamer. That’s why I think he wants this thing done in 4-5 games, with a week to rest. As much as I think Peralta is there in case of a blowout or extra innings affair, I think his natural cutter could be huge vs this Dodgers lineup that loves to try to ambush fastballs. We saw they also love to swing at high cheese too, and that’s his pitch. We’re all expecting Miley for 3-5 and then Burnes, but maybe they go Miley for 3-5, Peralta for 2-3, then Burnes and Knebel/Jeffress to finish
  18. Miley for 3-5 IP tomorrow, Burnes for 2-4 IP. Cedeno 1-2 batters, Jeffress saves it. Up 2-0. although Peralta is tempting. The Dodgers love to ambush pitches, Peralta’s moving fastball could cause them to get lots of quick outs.
  19. I fully expected something like this. The brewers absolutely need Chacin to pitch in LA to save the bullpen over 3 straight days.
  20. I don’t think Stearns would have any more power in another city. He already has full control. Although I am a little leery of giving him extra fancy titles before he hits his middle 30s
  21. It also helps that Yelich and Cain are line drive hitters. They don’t swing for the fences every time
  22. If the Cubs sign Harper, do they eat like $75 million and trade Heyward? I’m guessing Harper stays in Washington
