  1. You wouldn't get any of those three.
  2. I want them to lock up Weeks, move Lawrie to RF so he can utilize his speed there. Kentrail Davis is annihilating A ball and needs to be promoted, possibly move him to 1B in the future. Hunter Morris is also producing nicely after a rough start. We'll have a lot of position players and if we can get some young pitching for Fielder & Hart we should be a good team in 2012 and 2013.
  3. Brett Lawrie, Jeremy Jeffress, Cody Scarpetta, Logan Schafer, longshot would be Kentrail Davis if he's promoted to Brevard in the near future.
  4. It's a possibility, especially since they'd be waving the white flag. Weeks to the 3-hole, Braun 4th. Probably promote Lorenzo Cain and have he and Escobar 1-2 in the order. Escobar is hitting really well in the 2-hole btw.
  5. Why is Mark Attanasio on this site?
  6. BOS isn't trading Casey Kelly or Clay Buchholz (they would've done that for A-Gonz who is much more valuable last year) and their next most attractive SP option is Junichi Tazawa who just went under the knife, so BOS isn't a fit.
  7. Villanueva was sent down so nothing in neccesity at this point. Theres a report that BOS was interested in possibly acquiring Hoffman but the Brewers didn't have any interest in trading him.
  8. At least until the offseason then anything could realistically happen. Help me out here, who would be a match this offseason?
  9. Singleton won't be in the deal, recently reported by Heyman. Anthony Gose and Vance Worley will go along with JA Happ to HOU. HOU didn't get much in that deal, no elite prospects.
  10. Even the Yankees wouldn't take on that contract. It was a lot of money for his career year production last year in a pitchers haven, what could we really have expected from a guy with HR issues at a HR haven ballpark?
  11. Prince's UZR (which is the best defensive measurement out there) is well below average making him one of the worst defensive 1B in the league.
  12. Agreed, because even if they add Prince there's still a hole at 2B. With Wiggington/Cantu when Kinsler comes back they have a RH bat at 1B to platoon with Davis. Deal seems less likely every second.
  13. Even if he gets traded before the deadline, the injury is very mild and he's missed a few games but it's almost stupid to wait and see and hope to acquire him after the waiver deadine. The risk/reward would be worth it for me to make a deal, as long as I at least see him play in a game or two.
  14. Geesh, this is setting up to be a very disappointing and boring deadline. Teams seem to be really overvaluing their prospects this year. It appears as though it's going to take a desperation move by one of these teams right at the last minute for Fielder to be dealt. Prospects are almost always overvalued. I mean the talent that TEX would have to give up in prospects for the FUTURE would have to exceed the production that Fielder gives you NOW. Plus theres no guarantee that the prospects pan out, but it's almost certain that Fielder does. Plus the fact that MIL pays the rest of Prince's salary for this year makes TEX look like their overvaluing their prospects too much. I don't see any hitters in their system that will hit the way Prince does (Moreland maybe, maybe) so it's not like they have an in-house option to fill that hole. Plus they have a surplus of young pitchers under team control (Hunter, Holland, Harrison, Feliz, Perez, Scheppers, etc.) so they could stand to deal a couple of them plus a minor league bat for someone that would vault them to the elite contenders.
  15. If we got those 3 pitchers for Prince Melvin would look like a genius. I cannot see anyway that would happen. Perez and Scheppers would be in the deal, plus they throw in Holland since we cover Prince's salary for this season. Maybe we throw in another player into the deal (bullpen help).
  16. I forgot about Davis. He could also take Moreland's place in my previously mentioned deal. Or if somehow both could be had, that would be even better. I think Davis' bat will come around and would play very nicely in Miller Park.Davis is a big power hitter, and his bat could thrive at Miller Park... Could. I'm worried about his inability to hit above .200 this season, though. In his full season in 2009, he only hit .238/.284/.442. That line looks like Carlos Gomez with much more power, and we don't need that. His defense so far in the majors appears to be a liability. I'd much rather have Moreland, to be honest. I'd go for a trade like this... TEX get: 1B Prince Fielder MIL get: P Martin Perez OF Mitch Moreland P Derek Holland P Tanner Scheppers I think Holland gets added to the deal if we pick up the rest of Prince's contract, which we'd have to. TEX would be beastly!!!! 1. Kinsler 2. Young 3. Hamilton 4. Fielder 5. Vlad 6. Cruz 7. Molina 8. Andrus 9. Borbon That's an amazing lineup!!!
  17. I saw you posted that in mlbtraderumors too, and I don't think it'd be a bad idea, but I'm curious as to what we could do with a 3-way deal.
  18. I'd assume if a trade like that was possible, it would have happened by now. I guess things can change in the next five days, though.Yeah, teams get more desperate. I'd try to work a three team deal possibly. Possibly even send Prince to one team and Corey to the other and have the team A (contender) send a young Major Leaguer or high ML bat to team B (contender) and have them send a starter over to team A and load up on prospects from both teams. Crazy!
  19. Problem is, is how do you build around that contract? That's a lot of money going to Wolf and Prince with reasonable money amounts going to Braun and Gallardo. Plus Weeks could get an extension, Casey will get paid more in a few years, it's tough to build around a contract like that when you can't have a huge payroll.
  20. Loe is also a RP not a SP, remember he flopped as a starter earlier in his career.
  21. I'm guessing the White Sox don't like the money that they would have to give Fielder next year or to resign him. They also may favor Dunn because he is a FA next year.Exactly, the price is lower for Dunn too.
  22. The Braves interest me more than any other team. I don't really like Jonathan Sanchez, because he seems like a Manny Parra-type pitcher. He strikes a lot of guys out but struggles with command and consistency. I do like Madison Bumgardner, but his delivery seems really unorthodox and stressful on his arm. I'd take Bumgardner for Hart, but not Sanchez for Hart. In SD, Castro would need to be in the deal or I don't see it happening. If TB wanted to make a trade you need to offer either Hellickson or Davis. ATL interests me the most because of Mike Minor, he's one of my favorite prospects. I'd do Hart for Minor straight up, maybe get a PTBNL in the deal too (maybe it could be Matt Diaz).
  23. I'd say get Julio Teheran and Mike Minor for Corey and PTBNL. As far as winning in 2011, what about the team is going to be so different?
  24. If Lawrie is traded, I'll be livid. The only trade I can see with Toronto would be... Jays get: Prince Brewers get: Brett Wallace Zack Stewart Brett Lawrie is nearly impossible to get unless they want to give up Drabek or Chad Jenkins.
  25. I'd trade him for a bad mortgage at this point. The rotation is on a roll and why put a guy like Davis who has shown nothing this year into that mix and essentially toss a wrench in it.
