  1. I have heard this too...regardless of the baseball aspect I love the acquisition of such a good person.
  2. Can’t be Soria, Jeffress and Hader all the time. Gotta win this game tonight though.
  3. I’ll be honest...Barnes just strikes me as a guy who is completely in his own head on the mound. He has the stuff just no confidence.
  4. man, i have a horrible record. 4-9 i think I have tickets to 4 more games. They're going to go 4-0 in those though. 6-1 this year! 3-0 in San Diego, 2-0 in San Francisco, 1-0 in Miller Park South and 0-1 in Milwaukee. General consensus...send me to road games in the playoffs!
  5. Well...I like it (depending on the cost). Funny thing about this, the Brewers now have the AL (Miley) and NL (Gio) leader in walks from 2017. Please DJ work your magic.
  6. Assuming he doesn't slump massively, this guy will win because...well...Cubs.
  7. Donaldson cleared waivers according to Heyman. He can be dealt anywhere.
  8. 50% chance of rain on Sunday...Let's hope for a downpour for 6 hours beginning at 140 or so....just enough to get through 2 innings.
  9. This entire post makes assumptions about Braun's nature and who he is as a person. What has he done in the past 5 years (since he accepted his suspension) makes you believe this? Unless you know Braun personally or know someone who does, I don't think you can make this assertion based on anything other than opinion. I'm fairly certain that all of us are making assumptions about Braun's nature and who he is as a person. He accepted his suspension because he was left with no choice, and I make my assumptions on what I believe he was up to since his Miami days. You're free to believe what you want as well, but I will say that pulling off a good guy act for the sake of appearance is not a difficult thing to do. Sammy Sosa managed to pull it off for years, all the while he was roiding and on at least one occasion, bat corking. Fair enough but I will take someone based on their actions over the past decade rather than assume he’s a certain way. Call it naivety but I prefer that over cynicism.
  10. I dropped Chacin after his first 2-3 starts
  11. He really looked out...but the call on the field probably should have stood as it was not super definitive.

  13. Back on topic... I love Braun. I didn't like the press conference then and hated it after he admitted wrongdoing. However, since his acceptance of his suspension, he has not done anything to command the spotlight and has been active in the community. Braun is vilified in the Brewers rival cities where Sosa, Bonds, McGwire, Marte, etc...were caught. I understand the rivalry aspect of it but don't understand the hate given his low profile since 2013.
  14. Unless they manage to pull a rabbit out of a hat that acquire someone nobody is talking about, I think Chacin likely takes the ball. Jordan Zimmermann is intriguing as a "bounce back" guy, but he's about the only potential August trade candidate that doesn't make me say "YUCK!" And that's only if the Tigers agree to pay a bunch of that salary. Derek Holland has put up some nice numbers as well, and I wouldn't mind taking a flyer on him. We could see someone out of left field, too, like Sonny Gray or Zach Wheeler. I highly doubt these guys made it to the Brewers on waivers. Most teams in the league would put a claim on these guys.
  15. Agreed...and I think a lot of us need to realize the moment in which things are said. I know a lot of my own negative thoughts come out during the game when I disagree with certain decisions. For example, in the IGT in Game 2 against the Reds when Counsell pulled Williams for Jennings. With Hader and Jeffress supposedly unavailable this move was beyond stupid to me and I posted in frustration. Perhaps we all need to understand others emotions/feelings in the heat of moment a bit better.
  16. Bring them on...even though our two best seasons in franchise history ended with losses to them in the World Series and NLCS.
  17. I appreciate everything the Mods are doing. I have been here for over a decade and have never seen the type of negativity and backbiting recently displayed. This generally has been an outlet for me from everyday stresses to talk baseball and share ideas, even if they are outlandish or far-fetched. In the past these ideas may have been met with some skepticism and disagreements, but never with outright disrespect. I love that we are attempting to get our forum back to what it originally was...an outlet for Brewer fanatics. Go Brewers!
  18. Will the Dark Knight rise in Milwaukee? Not a savior but I’m intrigued if he isn’t a clubhouse cancer.
  19. I am fully expecting the Brewers to make a claim on Andrew McCutchen just because this trading season has been so abnormal.
  20. Harper, Machado and Dozier would be an unreal haul for in-season trades. Big markets are reigning this summer!
