  1. I read an article the other day and it said this was not Bob Uecker on the call as he was on the field to interview the players after the game. I was only 4 months old at the time so I always assumed it was Uecker. If this wasn't him, who had the call?
  2. While I generally do not love the non-title winning gear, the slogan for the Brewers postseason "Our Crew, Our October" is so personally relevant to me (I will be welcoming my first child any day) that I can't help but purchase it this season. Thanks for making a slogan that is timeless for me Brewers/MLB!
  3. Schoop, as a hitter, is the reincarnation of... http://a.espncdn.com/combiner/i?img=/i/headshots/mlb/players/full/6218.png&w=350&h=254
  4. While the baseball playoffs are far more of an enigma than the NBA or NFL playoffs, I want to have a rooting interest for the American League over the next week and a half. With this in mind and about an hour before Game 4 of the ALDS between the Red Sox and the Yankees, I find myself pulling hard whoever wins this series to win the ALCS. While the length of the Red Sox lineup and the historic power of the Yankee lineup are certainly intimidating, the overall balance of the entire Astro roster scares me. Whereas I think the Brewers, Dodgers, Red Sox and Yankees are all about equal in terms of their chances against one another, the Astros are on another level. The idea of facing Verlander and Cole in Game 1 and 2 very much make me fear my prediction of a 4-1 Astro over Brewers WS in the "2018 Postseason Prediction" thread will be quite accurate. I find myself actually pulling for the Yankees, as they don't have the elite TOR the the Red Sox (Sale), Astros (Verlander/Cole) or Dodgers (Kershaw/Buehler) do. Excited and hopeful for the Dodgers series, but keeping an eye toward a potential World Series matchup where I would hope the Brewers would play the Yankees (or Red Sox). Go Crew!
  5. As someone who was vehemently against this, I have to eat my words. It was good to see him tonight without the schtick.
  6. I think the goal is probably to keep him available tomorrow. At 25 pitches thrown he could probably come in for a couple outs tomorrow, you up that to 30+ and you can't use him. Think this is the plan with every reliever named Knebel-Hader-Jeffress. Don't burn them with another game tomorrow.
  7. Legit question...if Woodruff and Burnes are given next season to be SP, are they as good as say Kyle Freeland by the end of next season?
  8. Do you see Travis Shaw doing interviews as the Mayor of Ding Dong City and not Travis Shaw? Or talking about the Ding Dong City fundamentals like Morgan did with the Plushdamentals? Big difference.
  9. If this is in reference to my comment...what I said was he would be way down on the list of people to throw out the first pitch. I would much rather see Fielder, Hart, or Weeks before I saw Nyjer Morgan.
  10. I'll second this. Came up huge in the 2011 season time and time again and for that will live in Brewer lore forever. The Tony Plush act was...odd to me. I love showing the emotions of the game but the idea of an alter ego was bizarre and foreign to me and I am close to Morgan's age. Maybe have a 2011 team first pitch with Fielder, Weeks, Hart, etc... and include Morgan. As a standalone though, he's way down the list for me. Not as far as Sully from Monster's Inc., but close.
